Strathclyde/Edinburgh Napier - Blood screen hope for cancer

A new diagnostic tool has been developed by scientists at the University of Strathclyde and Edinburgh Napier University that they hope will improve rates of survival among breast cancer patients. Researchers have identified a biomarker found in blood that could be used to screen people deemed to be at risk of the disease. It is hoped that the breakthrough could lead to earlier diagnosis of cancer and remove the need for a biopsy.
