Scottish Parliament tries to live up to ideals

The Scottish Parliament is making an effort to live up to its ideals of openness and accessibility, political scientists will hear today.

Scottish devolution is the major topic at the Political Studies Association's annual conference at Aberdeen University.

Sue Morris, senior lecturer in public policy at the Robert Gordon University, who was working with Connie Smith of the Scottish Parliament Information Centre, said there was considerable evidence that the parliament gathered views from a wide range of interests.
