Scots can stay home

Glasgow University's medical faculty will complete the training of half of St Andrews University's student doctors. For the past 30 years St Andrews has sent its students to Manchester University for clinical training. The Scottish Executive has now accepted proposals from the Board of Academic Medicine for students to continue their education in Scotland, with 50 going to Glasgow, 30 to Edinburgh and ten each to Aberdeen and Dundee universities.
