Newcastle University - Liver link to falls

Scientists have discovered a link between liver disease and the number of falls suffered by elderly people. The research at Newcastle University indicates that people suffering from primary biliary cirrhosis are twice as likely to take a tumble as non-sufferers. It is hoped that the study will lead to a reduction in the number of falls and save the NHS money.
