The Princeton University official who wrongly accessed rival Yale University's confidential website for applicants has been required to resign his post but will remain employed by the university, Princeton president Shirley Tilghman announced. The official, Stephen LeMenager, wanted to test the security of Yale's site because Princeton was contemplating a similar service for applicants, an independent inquiry concluded. An inquiry by the US attorney's office in Connecticut into any criminal offences is continuing.
