The Open University has launched an online service that allows prospective students to log on and access a step-by-step guide to credit transfer with confirmation on whether previous studies qualify.
Many students joining the OU have already completed some higher education elsewhere, and since 1971, about 250,000 OU students have received credit for previous studies. This number is expected to increase because of plans to develop more initiatives to support lifelong learning.
The major changes now introduced will ensure that The Open University remains at the forefront of credit transfer.
