Agroforestry can yield dividends for British farmers according to research at Bangor University's school of agriculture and forest science. A test site at Loughgall, County Armagh in Northern Ireland, has proved that farmers can make more money by planting trees on pasture than by using it purely for grazing. Farmers can earn between Pounds 14.75 and Pounds 166.71 per hectare more.
