250 jobs to go at King's
King’s College London plans to cut nearly 250 jobs over the next three years, mainly from the schools of physical sciences and engineering, biomedical sciences and medicine. Meanwhile, the college raised £60 million through an unsecured loan from the Royal Bank of Scotland.

A pioneering website for Chinese studies was launched today by four Scottish universities, Aberdeen, Abertay Dundee, Edinburgh and Glasgow. Scotland’s Chinese Consul General, Wang Weiyang, launched the Scottish Information Network Online for Chinese Studies website at the University of Edinburgh’s George Square library.
