BNP free to recruit on Greenwich campus
Greenwich University says it is powerless to prevent members of the British National Party from recruiting on its campus. Following reports that a Greenwich student was actively recruiting for the BNP, a university spokeswoman said unless there were complaints regarding a serious breach of procedures then the student would be treated no differently from anyone else.

Shakespeare's love potion sets hearts aflutter
Scientists today brought Shakespeare's love elixir - Puck’s Potion from A Midsummer Night's Dream - back to life. The Royal Society of Chemistry says the wild pansy - or Heart's Ease - is the basis of the elixir that fated Titania, queen of the fairies, to fall in love with the first person she saw.

Foul play ruled out in death of UEA researcher 
Police said today they had ruled out foul play in the death of Ian Langford, 40, a senior researcher in environmental risk at the University of East Anglia whose body was found at his home. Wounds on his body were either self-inflicted or sustained accidentally, they had decided.
