Makerere to decide on Gaddafi award
The senate of Uganda’s Makerere University is to decide later this month on a proposal to award an honorary law degree to Colonel Muammar Gaddafi, the Libyan leader.
New Yorkers given student loan relief
New York State has offered to provide free college education for family members of victims of the World Trade Center disaster. People who live or work in the New York City disaster assistance area are to be given more than four months’ relief from student loan debt repayments, the US department of education has announced.
