(Photograph) - Ion mountain: spectacularly rendered by Glasgow printmaker Murray Robertson, this 3D computer plot of ionisation energies is part of Visual Elements, an art-science collaboration backed by the Royal Society of Chemistry and Glasgow City Council. Contributors include John Emsley, science writer in residence at the University of Cambridge, and Ann Prescott, senior lecturer at the University of Abertay Dundee.
