De Montfort University has launched three schemes to reward and encourage innovative teaching.
Staff can bid for up to Pounds 1,000 to support development of teaching in their faculties. A competition has been set up to allow students to nominate their tutors for an annual Pounds 300 prize for innovative teaching. An email chat group has also been set up to help encourage exchange of ideas across the whole university.
