Preliminary applications are invited from multidisciplinary research groupings for the support of integrated, thematic programmes arising from genome sequencing projects. The programmes should address important biological questions that have clearly identified long-term objectives relevant to human and/or animal health.
It is anticipated that these will be pursued in conjunction with the development of key technologies, such as array technology, proteomics, informatics and high throughput structure determination. Principal applicants should hold an established position in a university or equivalent institution in the UK or Ireland.
