Ireland's education ministry is investigating an operation calling itself the European University of Ireland that is operating from a Dublin accommodation address without official sanction. The EUI has advertised for post-graduate students both in the United Kingdom and internationally but has never applied for the Irish ministerial approval required by any institution describing itself as a "university".
