The Darwin Initiative, a biodiversity grants programme run by Defra, is seeking applications for its 12th round of funding. Applications are invited from British institutions and organisations for projects to commence in April 2004. Funding for 2004/5 rises to £5 million. The closing date for Stage 1 applications is 15 October 2003.
