Fourteen vice-chancellors from universities across Pakistan have visited Cranfield University's Bedfordshire campus to take part in a debate about global higher education. The visit was part of a ten-day programme organised by the Leadership Foundation for Higher Education to support the development of Pakistani universities. Sir John O'Reilly, Cranfield's vice-chancellor, said: "The aim was to exchange perspectives on the challenge and opportunities for universities in the globalised economy, along with exploring prospects for collaboration in research and investigating short courses and educational programme opportunities."
