Cardiff, Bristol and Swansea universities - Taking care of the children

五月 21, 2009

A centre of excellence focused on tackling health issues affecting children and young people has been launched. The Centre for the Development and Evaluation of Complex Interventions for Public Health Improvement (Decipher) is a joint venture by the universities of Cardiff, Bristol and Swansea. Experts from a range of disciplines will work together to strengthen public health research in the South West and Wales, and identify effective ways to improve public health. It is led by Laurence Moore, director of the Cardiff Institute for Society, Health and Ethics at Cardiff University. Decipher is one of five new Public Health Research Centres of Excellence in the UK, all funded by the UK Clinical Research Collaboration, but it is the only one to focus on the health of children and young people.
