Bangor University - Bonuses for beer-mat brilliance

十一月 27, 2008

There is a new incentive for students to go down the pub with the launch of the "Idea on a Beer Mat" competition at Bangor University. Its Centre for Careers and Opportunities is inviting students to submit business ideas, outlined in fewer than 50 words on the back of a beer mat, by 6 February. There will be cash prizes for the best ideas: the idea categories are product, services, community, global and innovation. Lynn Goodhew, head of the careers centre, said: "We're here to ensure that our students are thinking about life after university while they are studying. That can mean considering which way to move with their careers as well as picking up ideas and experience and developing skills that will enhance their CV on graduating."
