Business researchers have taken part in a national government review aimed at improving the health and wellbeing of NHS staff. Researchers at Aston University's Business School participated in the NHS Health and Well-being Review, also known as the Boorman Review. The Aston researchers found a link between the health of NHS staff and factors such as patient satisfaction and superbug MRSA (methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus) infection rates. Jeremy Dawson, research fellow, who led the study, said: "Making relatively small changes to working practices can mean not only a healthier and happier workforce but improved patient care and lower costs as well - which is good news all round."
