Letter: In brief 1

二月 8, 2002

Zazie Todd's article on possible biases in student feedback forms was thought-provoking, particularly given proposals to publish them ("Nice legs, shame about the teaching", THES , February 1).

At Warwick my department redesigned feedback forms and receives a return rate of about 80 per cent. Staff attend an annual teaching day to discuss results and to share best practice. Publishing student ratings, however, could undermine the balance between fair comment and inbuilt bias.
