Letter: Great expectations

五月 18, 2001

The report on us was not simply a Higher Education Funding Council for England report (Whistleblowers, THES , May 11). We and our validating university went into the evaluation unaware additional standards would be required. What the public sector expected of private institutes emerged during the process. Others like us may be in for a surprise. Of the 47 recommendations, 42 have been or are due to be implemented by the end of the accounting year. If only we had known about the expectations of others, they could have been implemented before the evaluation began.
