This is an edited volume by leading US scholars from a range of disciplines exploring sex discrimination in the workplace. It highlights the legal, psychological, sociological and economic issues surrounding workplace sex discrimination, particularly from the perspective of the US.

The chapters are all well structured, well written and enlightening. The problems stem from the book's American-centric view. It would have been better had the editors considered inviting some international contributors to help contextualise what is US-specific and what is a generic issue that travels globally. Perhaps the next volume should consist of contributors from different regions of the world.

Who is it for? I would recommend it to academics and doctoral students.

Presentation: A well-organised volume.

Would you recommend it? Even with the above caveat, the book is a great source of academic knowledge in the field by distinguished US researchers.
