Zhejiang Sci-Tech University was founded as Sericulture Hall to provide training for Hangzhou’s internationally renowned silk industry in 1897. 
It underwent 18 changes of identity between then and 1975 and attained full university status in 2004. 
Courses are offered in all disciplines of engineering as well as textiles and textile production.
The universty has an International Student office and an apartment residence, known as the "Friendship building", which supports international students studying at the institution.

You will be assigned to the Austrian Educational Competence Center Chemistry (AECC Chemistry) at the Center for Teacher Education (ZLB) at the University of Vienna. The AECC Chemistry operates at the thriving intersection of pre- and in-service teacher education, schools, universities, as well as university colleges of teacher education in Austria. We conceptualise and implement innovative chemistry-specific educational research and professional development. Incorporating recent research findings into our teaching is of paramount importance for us. Subsequently, our expertise is requested for the development and revision of state-of-the-art curricula for schools and universities on a regular basis.

Our team’s research projects currently revolve around inquiry-based teaching and learning, green and sustainable chemistry, scientific reasoning, system thinking, and linguistic aspects of chemistry teaching and learning. We are looking forward to welcoming a committed post-doctoral researcher (4-year fixed-term contract) with a PhD earned in the field of chemistry education. Your future tasks:

You will participate in research, teaching and administration, i.e:


	You conduct research and professional development projects in the field of chemistry education using qualitative and quantitative methods
	You reflect on educational research and development from a theoretical, methodological, and classroom-level perspective
	You transform national and international educational research findings and apply them in chemistry teacher education
	You hold courses independently within the scope of the provisions of the collective bargaining agreement.

Your new job:

As a university assistant (pre doc), you will complement the team around Univ.-Prof. Lukas Nickel. Our research and teaching focusses on the art history of East Asia.

The employment duration is 3 years. The Department of Arts and Design of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities invites applications for the position of Associate/Assistant Professor in Visual Communication Design. Qualifications

Remuneration

A taxable annual remuneration starting from MOP1,052,800 (approximately USD129,980) for the position of Associate Professor and MOP855,400 (approximately USD105,600) for the position of Assistant Professor will be commensurate with the successful applicants’ academic qualification and relevant professional experience. The current local maximum income tax rate is 12% but is effectively around 5% - 7% after various discretionary exemptions.
