Zahedan University of Medical Sciences was established in Zahedan in 1986.

Since 2010 it has shared responsibility with the medical Universities of Zabol and Iranshohr for the 2.6 million people of the province of Baluchistan and Sistar. 

Students are spread across schools of medicine, dentistry, rehabilitation, healthcare, nursing, paramedicine and a satellite campus at Khash.

All classes are in Farsi, but the six research journals are all published in English. 

Collaborations with the University of Lahore to research malaria, dengue fever, tuberculosis and other shared priorities have been extended to research health tourism. 

The ZAUMS network incorporates 10 affiliated hospitals - six of them in Zahedan city - 367 health houses, 59 comprehensive rural healthcare posts, 14 rural delivery facilities, eight urban and 29 rural health posts, along with supervisory responsibility for 156 private pharmacies, 30 pharmaceutical companies and 72 manufacturers of food, beverage and other products.

Qualifications and Qualities Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in STEAM/ science education, artificial intelligence, e-learning, assessment, curriculum studies, education, or a related discipline; a recognized teaching qualification; and at least seven years of relevant experience in science teaching, curriculum development, learning design and/or providing professional support to schools to enhance STEAM/ science education. Preference will be given to candidates with a strong record of pedagogical innovation and experience in supporting teacher learning and professional development. Priority will also be given to those with research experience in teacher learning and/or school development related to curriculum or pedagogical innovations; those who have held leadership positions in schools; or those who have demonstrated expertise in managing or supporting large-scale school development projects. Applicants with less experience or fewer qualifications may be considered for appointment as Assistant Lecturer. Description The Khalil Research Group at NYU Abu Dhabi invites applications for a Associate Research Scientist to work on the development and application of covalent organic frameworks (COFs) for advanced water treatment and energy storage solutions. The successful candidate will join a young yet highly energytic team dedicated to leveraging chemistry, reaction engineering, and manufacturing principles to address pressing challenges in the water and energy sectors. The appointed postdoctoral associate will conduct independent research on COF materials, focusing on their synthesis, scalability, and practical application. Key responsibilities include designing devices, processing materials, conducting experiments, publishing high-quality research, and contributing to the group’s funding efforts.
