Yusuf Maitama Sule University, Kano was founded as North West University in 2012 as a second state university in the state of Kano. The university took its current name in 2017 in honour of Yusuf Maitama Sule, the former politician, representative at the United Nations, holder of several cabinet posts and 1979 presidential candidate. Students are divided between the city campus in Kano and the main campus on General Buhari Way in the Kofar Ruwa district. The first four faculties at the university included education, humanities, social and management science and science and have subsequently been joined by basic medical education and clinical science. The training hospital launched in 2017 and admitted its first medical students in 2020. In 2022 it launched a collaboration with the Republic of Niger and the first cervical cancer screening laboratory in northern Nigeria. There are diploma and masters programmes in accounting and finance. Facilities include the university library, campus accommodation, the student union, support and counselling services, a health and wellness centre, ICT suites, sports centre and transport services. The Yusuf Maitama Sule University also provides its students with access to online resources, including e-books and journals, to support their research activities.

We are seeking a pro-active, self-motivated and highly organised team player to provide research project administrative support and some PA support to a friendly team within the School of Health Sciences (SHS) at the University of Surrey. The successful applicant will be responsible for the smooth running of CARES-Well, a National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) national research project that aims to improve the wellbeing of the UK healthcare workforce. About MediaFutures/ the position About MediaFutures MediaFutures is a Centre for Research-based Innovation (SFI) funded by the Research Council of Norway and hosted by the University of Bergen. The centre is located at Media City Bergen and is closely connected to the Department of Information Science and Media Studies, the DARS research group, and adjacent computational social science and AI research environments at UiB. MediaFutures conducts interdisciplinary research on responsible artificial intelligence and media technologies, including media trust, recommender systems, AI-driven content production and analysis, content interaction and accessibility, Norwegian language technology, and broader questions in computational social science and behavioural data science. The centre produces scientific publications, prototypes, tools, and innovation outputs in close cooperation with industry partners. In the coming years, MediaFutures is also expected to play an important role in shaping possible post-SFI research structures and future research trajectories at UiB, including activities linked to DARS and to the broader scientific agenda associated with the Norwegian Computational Behaviour & AI Lab.
