The Opportunity An exciting opportunity exists to join the National Security College. The NSC has a Course and Event Administrator role available which will assist across the college, including with the Futures team and the Communications, Marketing & Events team. The NSC hosts more than 70 courses and events a year, ranging from 1 day to 20 days, on topics as diverse as cyber security; gender peace and security; geo-economics; intelligence and policy and national security foundations. Course and Event Administrators is integral to the success of the NSC, working closely with Course Coordinators and Program Directors on course design, delivery, event organisation, and providing high level administrative oversight and corporate support. POST TITLE Senior Lecturers & Lecturers in Data Science POST DETAILS Full-time, Fixed-term THE POST Stirling College, Chengdu University is looking for Senior Lecturers and Lecturers in Data Science to deliver modules on its BSc (Hons) Data Science programme, with the possibility of contributing to postgraduate teaching within the MSc Big Data programme where appropriate. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in contextualising University of Stirling modules for delivery in China, selecting and developing appropriate learning materials and activities that reflect the contemporary data science environment in China and incorporating these into the programme, and in some instances developing material for completely new modules. The BSc (Hons) Data Science award covers a range of areas including: Databases and data warehousing Scripting and programming Code performance analysis User interface design Statistics Machine learning, natural language processing and computer vision Information management Computer security Computer networks Research methods in computing science Artificial Intelligence In addition to undergraduate teaching, staff may also have the opportunity to contribute to the delivery of postgraduate modules on the MSc Big Data programme. Postgraduate teaching may include advanced topics such as large-scale data systems, advanced analytics, machine learning, artificial intelligence, and applied data science research methods. Key Responsibilities Programme management Reporting to the Lead PI of the SmartPrecinct@PDD programme, the Senior Programme Manager will oversee the overall execution and progress monitoring across multiple work packages in the programme. Coordinate multi-disciplinary activities to ensure alignment of technical development, infrastructure deployment, and regulatory initiatives. Support the principal investigators (PIs) to conduct technical integration between work packages where applicable. Track programme milestones, deliverables, budget, and reporting to the grantor and institution leadership. Supervise other Programme Office staff and coordinate administrative support functions. Stakeholder and governance management Lead engagement with government agencies and other stakeholders to develop governance frameworks for robot operations in PDD.
