Yazd University covers an area of 380 hectares which spreads across the city of Yazd, with a population of 500,000, as well as Saduq, Hamidiya, Zarach and Shahediyeh. Its Zoroastrian fire temples, Jame Mosque with Persian mosaics and the highest minarets in the country, its wind towers and silk weaving have made the name of this city. Yazd is also one of the few big cities built of adobe.

Faculty Openings in the Accountancy Programme The Bachelor of Business (Honours) in Accountancy was one of the first three programmes conferred by SIT. The programme is accredited by Singapore’s national accountancy body, the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA), as well as several leading global accountancy professional bodies, including the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), CPA Australia, Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ), the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). Uniquely, the programme is also recognised under the University Affiliation Programme by the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Institute. This three-year direct honours degree was developed through extensive consultations with industry leaders and accreditation bodies. Description NYU Abu Dhabi is currently inviting applications for a full-time contract faculty position in the Dvision of Arts and Humanities to teach in the Division and in the Interactive Media program to begin potentially as early as Fall 2026. The position is a renewable appointment based on curricular demand and performance. The Interactive Media program is a Bachelor of Arts major at NYUAD that combines art, interaction design, communications, computer science, engineering, and critique. While the program is formally housed in the University’s Arts and Humanities Division, it is a multidisciplinary major and has broad reach across the University. The mission of the program is to foster the creative use of emerging technologies for research, communication, and expression, while advancing a deep engagement with theoretical frameworks and critical discourse in Interactive Media. The program emphasizes an interdisciplinary approach that connects artistic practice with intellectual inquiry and social responsibility. Arts Professors are active practitioners and creative and performing artists who have demonstrated expertise, excellence and experience in their particular professional domains and bring these qualifications to bear in their teaching. Arts Professors are expected to conduct research, defined as scholarly, creative and professional activities, and are expected to bring that research to bear in their teaching, and to provide service to NYUAD. Appointees must be experienced or highly knowledgeable in their particular fields and, where relevant, have had experience in curriculum development. The successful candidate will have an expansive background in scholarship and the arts that prepares them to contribute to the divisions’ research initiative and propose a wide variety of courses to students in our established liberal arts undergraduate programs and Masters of Fine Arts, and upcoming “Global Crossroads” MA and Ph.D. programs. The candidate should be able to teach about recent and impending development in artificial intelligence as it relates to the arts and humanities. Given that skeletal disorders often involve complex "ER storage" pathologies and genetic mutations, our research aims to bridge the gap between clinical observation and molecular therapy. The successful candidate will leverage the unique clinical resources of the Greater Bay Area and the advanced research facilities at the University to develop innovative treatments. Duties and Responsibilities Design and conduct experiments involving molecular biology, genetics, and gene editing (e.g., CRISPR/Cas9) to model orthopedic pathologies. Manage and perform functional studies using animal models (e.g., transgenic mice) to evaluate disease progression and therapeutic efficacy. Utilize induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) technology to create disease-in-a-dish models for high-throughput screening. Perform sophisticated transcriptomic data analysis (e.g., RNA-seq, single-cell RNA-seq) to identify novel biomarkers and therapeutic targets. Prepare high-quality manuscripts for publication in international peer-reviewed journals. Assist in the supervision of postgraduate students and junior research staff. Requirements A Ph.D. degree in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biotechnology, or a related field. Strong hands-on experience in gene editing and animal model handling.
