It offers seven degree programmes, including Accountancy, Aviation Management, Communication and Digital Media, Hospitality and Tourism Management, Integrated Studies in Business and Info-Comm, as well as two Food Business Management programmes offered in partnership with our overseas university partner, the Culinary Institute of America. This collection of business-related programmes provides a rich platform for the cross-fertilisation of ideas among faculty and students. The faculty comprises academically qualified staff with doctoral degrees, alongside seasoned industry practitioners who hold professional and postgraduate qualifications. This combination of academic rigour and practical experience supports a robust applied learning pedagogy. Through applied learning, students are exposed to real-life knowledge and practical examples, thereby enhancing the relevance and impact of their educational experience. The presence of both academics and industry practitioners also strengthens the Cluster’s industry relevance, as faculty members engage in applied research with direct applications and value to industry partners. The Cluster adopts a student and industry centric model of business education, with the ultimate goal of delivering industry-relevant training. Faculty Openings in the Accountancy Programme The Bachelor of Business (Honours) in Accountancy was one of the first three programmes conferred by SIT. The programme is accredited by Singapore’s national accountancy body, the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA), as well as several leading global accountancy professional bodies, including the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), CPA Australia, Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ), the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). Uniquely, the programme is also recognised under the University Affiliation Programme by the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Institute. This three-year direct honours degree was developed through extensive consultations with industry leaders and accreditation bodies. Learners may choose to specialise in one of five accountancy domains: Applied Finance, Audit, Corporate Accounting, Management Accounting, and Taxation. We currently have positions available at all levels from Assistant Professor to Full Professor in the area of Financial Accounting (Sustainability Reporting and Carbon Accounting). Successful candidates will join the BCD Cluster as part of a faculty team comprising accomplished experts who are passionate about higher education and actively engaged in driving industry transformation through applied research. Faculty members may undertake funded, industry-relevant research and are expected to teach courses within the Accountancy Programme, with opportunities to contribute to other programmes within the BCD Cluster. They may also supervise industry-based master's and doctoral students on relevant topics. In addition, faculty are granted paid leave to undertake consultancy work with industry and/or participate in industry attachments to further enhance their practical expertise. Description NYU Abu Dhabi is currently inviting applications for a full-time contract faculty position in the Dvision of Arts and Humanities to teach in the Division and in the Interactive Media program to begin potentially as early as Fall 2026. The position is a renewable appointment based on curricular demand and performance. The Interactive Media program is a Bachelor of Arts major at NYUAD that combines art, interaction design, communications, computer science, engineering, and critique. While the program is formally housed in the University’s Arts and Humanities Division, it is a multidisciplinary major and has broad reach across the University. The mission of the program is to foster the creative use of emerging technologies for research, communication, and expression, while advancing a deep engagement with theoretical frameworks and critical discourse in Interactive Media. The program emphasizes an interdisciplinary approach that connects artistic practice with intellectual inquiry and social responsibility. Arts Professors are active practitioners and creative and performing artists who have demonstrated expertise, excellence and experience in their particular professional domains and bring these qualifications to bear in their teaching. Arts Professors are expected to conduct research, defined as scholarly, creative and professional activities, and are expected to bring that research to bear in their teaching, and to provide service to NYUAD. Appointees must be experienced or highly knowledgeable in their particular fields and, where relevant, have had experience in curriculum development. The successful candidate will have an expansive background in scholarship and the arts that prepares them to contribute to the divisions’ research initiative and propose a wide variety of courses to students in our established liberal arts undergraduate programs and Masters of Fine Arts, and upcoming “Global Crossroads” MA and Ph.D. programs. Applicants should hold the required terminal degrees, such as MFAs and Ph.Ds or those who have demonstrated a high-level creative output across theory/practice divides. The candidate should be able to teach about recent and impending development in artificial intelligence as it relates to the arts and humanities. They should have demonstrated abilities to teach across the arts and humanities and develop transdisciplinary research teams. We are looking for a faculty member who: Possesses an understanding of the aesthetic, cultural, social, political, critical, and ethical implications of interactive media and emerging technologies, and fosters an awareness of how these technologies shape and are shaped by societal contexts through historic and contemporary perspectives. Can engage students in developing a conceptual foundation for interactive media, integrating critical texts, reflective analysis, and creative practices that combine theoretical understanding with hands-on experimentation. Can engage students with a wide range of artists, scholars and practitioners whose work has shaped the field of interactive media fostering a nuanced understanding of its evolution and future directions Can support students in cultivating a critical vocabulary to articulate and analyze interactive media concepts, theories and projects, both in writing and discussion. Can engage students in creative practice, storytelling through various forms of media, designing rich user experiences, and exploring new modes of human-computer interactions. Has demonstrated experience in exhibiting works and/or presenting at festivals and conferences, with the ability to teach and support students in developing and showcasing their own work in similar professional contexts. The Interactive Media program is integrated into the NYUAD liberal arts experience and is interested in faculty who consider teaching an extension of their research. Inherent to the program’s values is an agility with regard to interactive media and its rapid evolution, and thus we welcome faculty who will contribute to the development of the curriculum, specifically in the area of AI. While our foundation classes emphasize reading and writing, they are run in a workshop-like environment facilitating active learning and encouraging discussion of concept, content, technique and impact. Research Context & Project Background The Department of Orthopaedics of Traumatology, School of Clinical of Medicine is seeking a highly motivated and talented Post-doctoral Fellow to join our multidisciplinary research team focusing on the molecular mechanisms of musculoskeletal diseases, including intervertebral disc degeneration (IVDD) and rare bone diseases like Pseudoachondroplasia (PSACH). Given that skeletal disorders often involve complex "ER storage" pathologies and genetic mutations, our research aims to bridge the gap between clinical observation and molecular therapy. The successful candidate will leverage the unique clinical resources of the Greater Bay Area and the advanced research facilities at the University to develop innovative treatments. Duties and Responsibilities Design and conduct experiments involving molecular biology, genetics, and gene editing (e.g., CRISPR/Cas9) to model orthopedic pathologies. Manage and perform functional studies using animal models (e.g., transgenic mice) to evaluate disease progression and therapeutic efficacy. Utilize induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) technology to create disease-in-a-dish models for high-throughput screening. Perform sophisticated transcriptomic data analysis (e.g., RNA-seq, single-cell RNA-seq) to identify novel biomarkers and therapeutic targets. Prepare high-quality manuscripts for publication in international peer-reviewed journals. Assist in the supervision of postgraduate students and junior research staff. Requirements A Ph.D. degree in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biotechnology, or a related field. Strong hands-on experience in gene editing and animal model handling. Proficiency in bioinformatics tools for transcriptomic data analysis is highly preferred. A solid publication record in reputable international journals. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team. Experience in musculoskeletal research or bone biology will be considered an advantage.
