About Worcester State University

Set up in 1874, Worcester State University is a public liberal arts and sciences university situated in Worcester, Massachusetts, US. Initially established as a teacher-training school, WSU now offers undergraduate majors and minors and master’s degrees for all students. 

Undergraduate majors include business administration, criminal justice, health education and urban studies among others. 

The 58-acre university campus is located in Worcester’s residential northwest area. Worcester is the second largest city in New England with 35,000 college students from nine colleges and universities. The city is about an hours drive from Boston, Springfield, and Providence, Rhode Island.

WSU student-athletes can participate in Division III championships in many sports including baseball, ice hockey, soccer, lacrosse and tennis. In addition, students can also play intramural sports such as flag football, dodgeball and floor hockey among others.
