About the Job As our Learning & Development Partner, you'll play a key role in shaping how people grow and succeed across the organisation. Working closely with senior leaders and People & Culture colleagues, you’ll design and deliver learning programmes that genuinely make a difference — from leadership and management development to onboarding and change initiatives. The role blends strategy with hands-on delivery: facilitating workshops, creating practical resources and using insight and data to target skills gaps and build capability. Inclusion, engagement and culture sit at the heart of the work, with real scope to influence how learning supports performance and progression. About You You’ll bring a solid background in Learning & Development, ideally supported by a CIPD qualification or equivalent experience. You have a proven ability to diagnose development needs and design engaging impactful learning solutions, both face-to-face and digitally enabled. Your experience covers leadership and management development, soft skills and behavioural programmes, and you’re used to measuring impact through KPIs and learning insights. You balance credibility with a collaborative mindset and be skilled at building relationships with stakeholders at all levels. You should also be confident at sourcing and managing third-party providers. You’re a clear, confident communicator who enjoys facilitating and presenting, brings people with you, and creates practical, accessible resources using Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. A strong understanding of apprenticeships and career development frameworks is essential, with the ability to support, design, or align learning programmes to meet apprenticeship standards and progression pathways. Description The Center for Interdisciplinary Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (CIDSAI) at NYU Abu Dhabi seeks to recruit a highly motivated researcher to work on topics in the theoretical foundations of data science and AI. The selected candidate will be part of the Foundations Cluster of CIDSAI and will collaborate closely with Professor Saurabh Ray, Professor Keith Ross, and Professor Pierre Youssef. We are particularly interested in candidates with a strong mathematical background and expertise in one or more of the following areas: High-dimensional probability and concentration/functional inequalities Markov processes and stochastic analysis Theoretical analysis of neural networks and deep learning Foundations of reinforcement learning and bandit algorithms Mathematical and algorithmic perspectives on large language models Statistical learning theory and complexity analysis Automated theorem proving and formal methods Random matrix theory and its applications in modern AI systems This position can be filled at either the Postdoctoral Associate level, depending on qualifications. The appointment is for two years, with the possibility of renewal. Requirements: Ph.D. in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field The terms of employment are very competitive and include housing and educational subsidies for children. As a University of Applied Learning, SIT works closely with industry in our research pursuits. Our research staff will have the opportunity to be equipped with applied research skill sets that are relevant to industry demands while working on research projects in SIT. About the project: Difficulties in swallowing or chewing affect millions worldwide, especially amongst the elderly. We have recently been awarded a research project to develop transitional foods which can make a positive impact on the quality of life for those with swallowing difficulties. The project includes two new research positions that will work closely together with each other and with the multidisciplinary team of project investigators. We invite outstanding and talented candidates who are passionate about foods and have a strong desire to develop or enhance their R&D competencies to apply for these positions. The primary role of this position is in the area of sensory characterization, food product formulation and production, oral processing characterization and conduct of surveys. The position requires a strong background in food chemistry, food product development, colloidal science, sensory science as well as survey research. Key Responsibilities Participate in and manage the research project with Principal Investigator (PI), Co-PI and the research team members to ensure all project deliverables are met. Undertake these key responsibilities in the project: i. Design, conduct and analyse survey amongst Speech and Language Therapists in Singapore ii. Develop food products with transitional behaviour iii. Conduct sensory tests of food products, including in-mouth characteristics Document, publish and present research findings Carry out Risk Assessment, and ensure compliance with Work, Safety and Health Regulations. Coordinate procurement and liaison with vendors/suppliers.
