About RoboPrecinct@PDD SmartPrecinct@PDD initiative aims to develop a precinct-scale robotics and embodied AI ecosystem at Punggol Digital District (PDD). The programme establishes shared digital infrastructure, regulatory frameworks (including cybersecurity and safety), embodied AI capabilities, industry collaborations, and real-world test-bedding environments to enable safe and scaled deployment of robots in PDD. The Operations Manager will support the day-to-day operations of the Programme, ensuring effective coordination, administrative support, and smooth execution of programme activities. Key Responsibilities Programme operations and administration Provide operational and administrative support for SmartPrecinct@PDD activities as well as related SIT-company joint programmes. Prepare meeting materials, minutes, and programme documentation. Maintain programme documentation and information repositories. Resource management Manage procurement processes for programme-related services, equipment, and operational needs. Coordinate budget tracking and administrative processes related to programme expenditures. Logistics and secretariat support Coordinate meetings, workshops, business trips and other events related to the programme. Provide secretariat support for programme governance meetings and committees. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering, or related disciplines. 3–5 years of relevant experience in operations management. Experience in administrative support such as procurement, event coordination, and programme documentation. Strong organisational and multitasking skills. Proficiency in office productivity tools. The Department places emphasis on experiential and project-based learning, and a proven track record in implementing such approaches will have a definite advantage, particularly in areas of strong and growing interest to students and teaching staff, such as robotics and airspace engineering. As taught postgraduate programs constitute a significant portion of our educational initiatives, those with extensive experience in teaching Master’s-level courses in mechanical engineering or closely related engineering disciplines will be highly preferred. The appointee will be responsible for high-quality teaching in mechanical engineering subjects at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. This role involves the supervision of student projects and dissertations, active contribution to course and curriculum design, and ongoing review and enhancement of academic programmes, including accreditation-related activities. He/She is expected to actively engage students in learning through interactive teaching practices and incorporate these methodologies into their teaching approach. He/She should maintain active participation in knowledge exchange, connecting with the industry and the public. He/She will also be required to contribute to the departmental administration and University services. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. Applicants should possess a doctoral or master’s degree in Education, the Learning Sciences or a related discipline, with a strong background in technology-enhanced learning and assessment, learning design and/or learning analytics for teacher learning and pedagogical innovation. Familiarity with theory and pedagogical implementation of digital literacy and AI literacy in the curriculum, and leadership for technology-enhanced learning and pedagogical innovation is crucial. Preference will be given to those with expertise in innovative methods of assessment and/or advanced statistical methods, such as multiple linear regression, mediation analysis, multilevel modeling, and/or latent variable models. Experience in managing and analyzing large datasets and in using generative AI tools for research purposes is a relevant strength. The appointee should also have a high level of writing proficiency for academic purposes and for a general audience in both English and Chinese. Good organizational skills, the ability to work independently and interdependently within a team on a tight schedule are essential to succeed in this role. Applicants in the final stages of their PhD studies may be considered for appointment as a Senior Research Assistant. The appointee will work closely with the Principal Investigator and the project team, to conduct research in a project on “An ecological evolutionary approach to curriculum development and teacher learning for artificial intelligence literacy”. He/She will take a key role in all stages of the research, including but not limited to (a) research and instrument design; (b) data collection, management, analysis and interpretation; (c) preparation for publications in peer reviewed journals and books; (d) working collaboratively with other project team members to liaise with schools, professional bodies and other relevant stakeholders; and (e) providing assistance in administrative and dissemination work.
