Established in 1869, the University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of Cluj-Napoca (USAMV Cluj-Napoca) is based in Romania. The university offers a range of undergraduate, postgraduate and doctorate programmes, across a variety of faculties including: agriculture, horticulture, animal husbandry and biotechnology, veterinary medicine and food science and technology. The majority of courses are available in Romanian however a select few are taught in French and English. USAMV Cluj-Napoca has advisory and career guidance services from specialised consultants to introduce students to companies for employment purposes. The aim is to prepare students for interviews as well as organising job placements during academic study. On campus, students will find dormitories and restaurants for their use. Located on campus, there’s also an agro-botanical garden which has over 2,000 plant species across approximately three hectares. It’s a place designed to study botany and conserve the biodiversity of our planet. There’s also an aquarium within the Faculty of Animal Husbandry and Biotechnology, Fisheries Department, which houses fish species including catfish, carp, pike, perch and bream. Students can use the gymnasium, football field and tennis courts. There are also plenty of student clubs for students to get involved with whether they have an interest in music, dance or community life. The university offers a small number of scholarships designed to recognise and award academic excellence. The university also has partnerships with other universities worldwide offering students the chance to spend a year studying abroad. These partnerships have also paved the way for faculty exchange and advanced research opportunities. Partnered universities include University of Parma (Italy), Chiang May University (Thailand) and Vietnam National University of Agriculture (Vietnam).

Full Professor of Eastern Slavic Literature and Cultural Studies 45 Faculty of Philological and Cultural Studies Working hours: 40 Reference no.: 5764 At the Faculty of Philological and Cultural Studies the University of Vienna invites applications for a Full Professor of Eastern Slavic Literature and Cultural Studies The position: The successful candidate represents the field of Slavic Literary and Cultural Studies with a primary focus on one East Slavic literature and culture and demonstrates expertise in at least one additional East Slavic literature and culture (Russian and/or Ukrainian, and, where appropriate, Belarusian). The appointee is expected to conduct research on East Slavic literatures and cultures in their diverse transnational entanglements and to apply current methodological approaches in literary and cultural studies in a productive and reflective manner. Furthermore, evidence of active integration into international research networks is required. Active participation in East Central European Studies as well as interdisciplinary collaboration within the University of Vienna’s research priorities is expected. The successful candidate is able to actively use at least one East Slavic language in teaching. Teaching responsibilities are expected to cover the full range of East Slavic literatures and cultures, including introductory and advanced courses in literary history, at all curricular levels (undergraduate, graduate, teacher education, and doctoral programmes), as well as supervision of theses and mentoring of early career researchers. Willingness to actively participate in academic self-governance is required. Experience in collaboration with non-university partners and a record of successful external grant acquisition are expected. We are seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics. Following the successful launch of our MA in International Relations in 2017, we introduced the BA (Hons) International Relations & Politics in 2019. In that period of time, we have established our excellence. In the The Guardian’s most recent league table for International Relations we finished 7th, and our NSS scores are consistently excellent. We are strategically growing. As part of this, we are launching BA (Hons) Politics, Philosophy, and Economics in September 2026. This post offers a good opportunity to strongly contribute to the new programme and our thriving and ambitious International Relations & Politics area at LJMU. We seek a colleague able to teach across our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. You must have teaching expertise in philosophy or political philosophy, as leadership of the introduction to philosophy module is a core requirement of the role. A second core module combines all three PPE disciplines to examine contemporary issues. Module pro-formas can be sent on request. Experience of teaching introductory material that connects politics, philosophy, and economics is desirable. The People, Politics and Communication subject group brings together International Relations & Politics, Media, Culture & Communication, and Sociology. Colleagues are members of the Liverpool Centre for Cultural, Social and Political Research (CSPR). We would expect you to contribute to exciting research being undertaken in our centre and to develop teaching that attracts students. The role also involves contributing to teaching at Foundation, undergraduate and postgraduate levels more broadly, as needed. The research activities will focus on the design and synthesis of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) and heteroatom-doped graphenoid systems through the development of new synthetic methodologies based on radical annulation strategies, photocatalytic transformations, and electrosynthetic approaches. These molecular platforms will be engineered as next-generation functional materials for applications in optoelectronics, molecular energy conversion, and light-responsive technologies. The project combines advanced targeted organic synthesis, with particular emphasis on the discovery of innovative synthetic methodologies for the controlled construction of extended π-conjugated systems. Special attention will be devoted to developing radical-mediated annulation reactions that enable the rapid and modular synthesis of structurally defined PAHs, nanographenes, and molecular semiconductors with tailored electronic and photophysical properties. The employment duration is 3 years. Your future tasks: The selected candidate will work on the preparation and characterization of sophisticated molecular architectures using modern synthetic methodologies, including transition-metal catalysis and radical-mediated transformations, and multistep organic synthesis. The research program further aims to establish structure, property relationships governing the electronic, photophysical, and charge-transport properties of these materials, enabling their integration into emerging optoelectronic and energy-related applications. The position, therefore, offers a unique opportunity to work at the interface of synthetic organic chemistry, radical chemistry, molecular materials, and optoelectronics within a highly collaborative and internationally visible research framework.
