School of Future Media Established on October 1, 2025, the School of Future Media (SFM) consists of three Divisions: the Journalism and Media Studies Centre (Asia’s premier journalism education department, founded in 1999); the Documentary and AI Filmmaking Division (teaching documentary since 2010, and AI filmmaking since 2023), and the Global Creative Industries Division. Positioned in Hong Kong—a global city linking Asia and the world—the School aims to cultivate pioneers across all media sectors and creative industries. Interdisciplinary experience and expertise are most welcome and highly valued. Journalism: AI applications in journalism practices, entrepreneurship, business journalism; Documentary: video production, directing, post-production; AI Film: generative AI models, model training, AI video editing and post-production, 3D and animation integration, audience and workflow design; and Global Creative Industries: gaming and digital humanities, visual arts and museum studies, music and performing arts, visual communications.  Requirements Applicants should be highly accomplished professionals from the industry/public sector. They should possess a Master’s degree or above in journalism, communication or related fields, with at least 15 years of professional and practical experience in the journalism, film production or media industries, preferably with 5 of those years in senior management positions, as well as proven exceptional contributions to the industry at national/regional and international levels. Extensive teaching and supervisory experience in media education and curriculum design is required, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in either teaching or conducting training at tertiary or professional level. Proven leadership experience in administration, programme and curriculum development, and experience in China and Asia are advantages. Applicants with lesser qualification and experience may be considered for appointment for Associate Professor of Practice. Duties and Responsibilities The appointee will principally engage in teaching and curriculum development, knowledge exchange and community engagement. They are also expected to remain active in professional, research or creative activities. He/She will be expected to contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and curriculum development, as well as to undertake administrative duties at the Division and/or School levels. What We Offer A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary. Housing benefits will be provided as applicable. An Executive Director is now sought to lead the Europaeum into its next phase. The successful candidate will serve as the organisation’s senior external representative to academic leaders, funders, policymakers, and partners. They will work closely with member universities, and will lead a small, dedicated Oxford-based team. Priorities will include driving fundraising efforts, promoting institutional partnerships, strengthening the Europaeum’s visibility, ensuring smooth internal operations and safeguarding the long-term sustainability of the organisation. Strong candidates will bring experience leading small teams or projects in resource-constrained environments. We are seeking a highly motivated, skilled and experienced Food Product Developer to join our research team under the DIGNIFIED programme. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food science, product development, and research methodologies. This role involves working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to develop new food products, improve existing ones, and ensure they meet the programme’s mission.  Key responsibilities Participate in and manage the research project with Principal Investigator (PI), Co-PI and the research team members to ensure all project deliverables are met. Conduct research and development activities to create innovative food products that align with the DIGNIFIED programme's goals. Mentor and guide junior research engineers in industry projects Develop prototypes and formulations for new/existing food products, ensuring they meet nutritional, sensory, and safety standards. Plan and conduct product scale up trials and shelf-life studies Source and evaluate new ingredients and suppliers Stay updated with the latest advancements in food science and technology and apply this knowledge to the development process. Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and documentation of research findings and product development processes. Participate in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and project planning activities. Carry out Risk Assessment, and ensure compliance with Work, Safety and Health Regulations. Coordinate procurement and liaison with vendors/suppliers. Job Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field. A Masters/Ph.D. in food science and food technology would be advantageous At least 3-5 years of proven experience in food product development and research, preferably within a similar programme or industry. Strong knowledge of food chemistry, microbiology, and sensory evaluation techniques. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills. Strong understanding of ingredient functionality and food processing. Proficiency in using laboratory equipment and software for data analysis. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a research environment. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information clearly. Passion for food product innovation and improving elderly nutrition. Bonus: Culinary skills and experience in product renovation and innovation. The position will be based in the Charles Perkins Centre, a state-of-the-art research facility located on the University of Sydney's Camperdown campus. The NeuroMolecular Discovery Group The lab, led by Dr. Rebecca San Gil, is dedicated to discovering genes and proteins with therapeutic potential to combat neurodegenerative diseases, particularly motor neuron disease and frontotemporal dementia. Doctoral Researcher in Geological Hydrogen Reservoirs – HydRes Project The University of Helsinki, Department of Geosciences and Geography, invites applications for a Doctoral Researcher position in the HydRes project, “Finding H₂ – Geological hydrogen reservoirs for sustainable energy production in Finland”, funded by the Research Council of Finland. The position will start in April 2026, or as agreed, and continue until the end of December 2029. Position description The HydRes project is a multidisciplinary collaboration between the University of Helsinki and VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland, aiming to advance the understanding and sustainable utilization of geological hydrogen reservoirs in crystalline bedrock. Hydrogen is a key enabler of the green transition, and geological hydrogen has the potential to provide a renewable, emission-free energy source for sectors that are challenging to electrify. HydRes will address questions related to the formation, exploration, renewability, and exploitation of geological hydrogen reservoirs, combining geochemistry, microbiology, isotope analysis, and modelling. The doctoral researcher will focus on the geological hydrogen aspects of the project by integrating microbiological and geochemical data to develop diagnostic tools for assessing hydrogen potential and sustainability of geological hydrogen production. The position offers a unique opportunity to work in a multidisciplinary team, develop expertise in isotope geochemistry, hydrogeochemistry, and geomicrobiology, and contribute to the emerging topic of the role of geological hydrogen in the hydrogen economy. The doctoral researcher will join the Sustainable Earth Resources Research Group at the Department of Geosciences and Geography, University of Helsinki, and benefit from state-of-the-art laboratory facilities, and collaborations with leading national and international experts. The position includes participation in field sampling campaigns at deep drill hole sites, as well as research visits and opportunities for professional development and networking. Requirements MSc degree (or equivalent) in geology, geochemistry, environmental sciences, microbiology, or a related field by the first day of employment. Strong interest in isotope geochemistry, hydrogeochemistry and/or geomicrobiology. Excellent written and oral communication skills in English. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
