Established in 1990, UW Bothell is a four year institute based in King County, based in the west of the state and now named for civil rights leader Martin Luther King. Shared with the UW Bothell campus is Cascadia, a community college.

Academic study at UW Bothell is divided between Business, Educational Studies, Interdisciplinary Arts & Sciences, Nursing & Health Studies, and STEM subjects. All schools offer master’s programmes, and in 1998 UW Bothell became the first university to offer a Technology MBA in the Puget Sound region.

UW Bothell is a part of the Generation Study Abroad programme, and is dedicated to having 15% of students take courses overseas by 2020. Previous undergraduate students have studied at locations ranging from Spain to South Africa, and UW Bothell offers scholarships to cover the cost of airfare. The Master’s of Education course also has a long standing programme exercising for students to use their skills in rural Guatemala.

The university is also the architect of a restoration North Creek Wetlands restoration project, focusing on a 58 acre area near campus sites and one of the largest projects of its kind in the Pacific Northwest. Environmental enhancement is the key driving principle of the endeavour, and has led to extensive regeneration of the floodplain and an educational resource for kindergarten students and professional training of wetland mitigation regulators alike.

The Digital Future Lab is an interactive media production studio on campus, dedicated to maximising the input of a diverse student body in its design projects.

The university motto translates from Latin as ‘let there be light’.

About the role: We are looking to appoint a Programme Manager to join Dr Heathcote’s team within the Health Psychology Group, Department of Psychology at King’s College London. We are seeking a proactive and organized Programme / Lab Manager to oversee the administrative and operational aspects of a 5-year Wellcome Trust funded research programme entitled ‘When your body betrays you: interoceptive mechanisms of anxiety after cancer’. This is an interdisciplinary research programme cutting across psychology, neuroscience, and patient-clinician communication. This dynamic role involves managing budgets, contracts, and collaborations across leading institutions (KCL, UCL, and Stanford), supporting clinical trial-related activities of novel digital mind-body therapies, and facilitating research dissemination through publications and science communication. You will play a pivotal role in supporting the Principal Investigator and lab members, coordinating meetings, onboarding new staff, and fostering a positive and inclusive research culture. This role will require in-person attendance at Guy’s Hospital for at least two days per week on Mondays and Tuesdays. The additional 0.5 days can be worked either on Wednesdays or Thursdays and be worked flexibly, including at Guy’s or from home. This position ensures smooth collaboration between QU Health and its clinical affiliates by handling faculty appointments, licensing, and QU Health Graduates’ recruitment. Moreover, the Clinical Appointment Specialist acts as a primary point of contact with external stakeholders, contributing to the effectiveness and success of clinical education programs. Create and maintain a comprehensive database of clinical affiliates' research profiles and Scopus IDs for each affiliate.  Manage Clinical Teaching/Research Awards: Announce and promote clinical teaching/research awards, providing guidance and support to clinical affiliates throughout the application process.  Review applications and prepare documentation for review by the Awards Committee. Coordinate Clinical Appointment Events: Plan and execute clinical appointment events, managing logistics, invitations, and communication with VIPs.  Oversee all aspects of event preparation to ensure a successful and engaging experience for attendees. Ensure Data Accuracy and Consistency: Manage the archiving and maintain an up-to-date database for all clinical appointments, ensuring accurate and accessible records. Troubleshooting any issues that may arise during the application process. Tracking license expiration dates and initiating renewal processes in advance.  Facilitating the transfer of licenses for faculty members joining QU from other institutions or countries. Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and deadlines. Maintain Licensing Database: Establish and maintain a comprehensive database of all licensed QU (contact information, license type and status, expiration dates and renewal history), any other relevant information related to faculty licensure. Monitor Compliance with DHP Regulations: Monitor QU Health faculty members' clinical practice to ensure compliance with DHP regulations and maintain their clinical licensure. This may involve: Staying up to date on DHP regulations and any changes that may occur.  Providing guidance and support to faculty on licensing requirements and best practices. Conducting periodic audits of faculty clinical practice to ensure compliance. The teaching responsibilities of the colleague will consist of two parts: 1) to lead and develop School-level AI modules and 2) contribute partially to department-level teaching. ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE: The successful candidate must possess a PhD in computer science or a relevant field within the humanities and social sciences as per the respective descriptions below. Humanities We seek candidates who understand the intersection of AI and the humanities and are capable of integrating AI technologies into their research and teaching, primarily through natural language processing (NLP) to analyse historical texts, literature, and cultural data. Experience with AI tools such as machine learning for sentiment analysis, data mining for social trends, or computational linguistics for linguistic analysis will be highly regarded. Additionally, the ability to instruct students on how AI can be applied to the study of philosophy, ethics, and history is essential. Understanding AI’s implications for privacy, identity, and digital culture is also critical. Social Sciences We seek candidates who can incorporate AI into their research on human behaviour, social trends, and policy analysis and are knowledgeable about AI tools that can analyse large datasets, including predictive modelling, sentiment analysis, or social network analysis. Experience with AI applications in sociology, political science, communication, linguistics, or area studies is vital. The candidate should be equipped to examine AI’s impact on social structures, inequality, and ethics in their work and understand AI’s potential to shape societal norms and public policy. Familiarity with tools such as Python for data analysis and AI-driven surveys or data collection methods is advantageous. Job Purpose The Professional Officers Division (POD) houses a centralized pool of academic staff under the Professional Officers scheme. Professional Officers come with specialised and deep technical skills acquired through extensive industry experience. They form the talent pool which brings a much-needed industry perspective to student learning. They facilitate applied learning and applied research in SIT, complementing the academic expertise of the faculty to bring industry practices and applications into the curriculum. Professional Officers leverage on their industry experiences to create authentic learning environments, where discovery and innovation take place. They act as coaches and mentors to students during practical learning activities such as laboratory sessions, Capstone Projects and the Integrated Work Study Programme (IWSP). Professional Officers could also lead or work with faculty on industry innovation projects to provide solutions to the industry. In addition to their role in applied learning and applied research, Professional Officers manage the centralised laboratory facilities and resources in SIT. With Technical Officers, laboratory safety professionals, and administrators in POD, they jointly develop central policies and processes for the safe and seamless operation of laboratories in SIT. Key Responsibilities Design and teach labs & practice modules. Mentor students in Capstone Projects and the Integrated Work Study Programme (IWSP). Lead or co-lead innovation projects with industry. Manage labs and equipment to support academic programmes and applied research. Ensure safety in labs. Job Requirements Education & Certifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, or related fields from a recognized University. Industry certifications like OSCP, CISSP, or CEH are a plus. Experience: At least 5+ years of experience in security analyst, preferably with exposure to cybersecurity applications. Proven experience as a Certified Security Analyst or in a related role, with a strong understanding of industry best practices, cybersecurity frameworks, IoT Security, OT Security, and Mobile Security. Strong understanding of cryptography, including symmetric and asymmetric cryptographic primitives, protocols, and PQC. Experience with adversarial machine learning techniques and defenses. Clear understanding of information security principles and the cyber technology landscape. Ability to develop and enforce security policies, conduct security awareness training, and stay updated on emerging cyber threats and hacker methodologies. Experience in developing and enhancing frameworks or standard operating procedures (SOPs) for handling cybersecurity incidents in different industries. Soft Skills & Mindset: Passionate about cybersecurity, technically hands-on, willing to learn, and curious about the inner workings of Enterprise/OT/Telecommunications technologies and exploiting their vulnerabilities. Strong interest in supporting research and academic projects, with the ability to adopt and manage new security technologies. Willingness to pursue professional certifications in cybersecurity governance, such as CISSP, OSCP, CSSP (Industry certifications are an added advantage). Actively participate in cybersecurity-related projects or organizations, such as CSIRT (Computer Security Incident Response Team), ISACA, or ISC2.
