Founded in 1978, the University of Southeastern Philippines (USeP) is a regional state university serving southern Mindanao. Its main campus is in Obrero, Davao City, with additional campuses in Mintal (Davao City), Tagum-Mabini (Tagum City and Mampising, Davao de Oro), and Malabog Extension (Paquibato District, Davao City).

The university offers undergraduate, graduate, and post-baccalaureate programmes in engineering, education, arts and sciences, business, computing, governance, development, resource management, agriculture, forestry, law, accountancy, medicine, and technology. 

USeP also runs special programmes, such as the Pamulaan Center for Indigenous Peoples Education and the College Education Behind Bars programme.

To develop, manage and lead on the delivery of an effective strength & conditioning programme for the LJMU Performance Sport Programme. This will include designing, delivering and evaluating strength and conditioning sessions for the LJMU Performance Sport athletes based in Liverpool by developing, implementing and evaluating strength and conditioning programmes that reflect scientific principles as they relate to adaptation, periodisation, peaking, tapering, injury prevention, rehabilitation, recovery and athlete screening/assessment. The role will also include management of S&C practitioners that are responsible for S&C delivery to TASS scholars and externally contracted athletes. The role will focus on translating polymer and fibre production knowledge into practical concrete technologies, supporting Australia’s transition toward lower-carbon, circular construction materials. This position will contribute to a nationally significant research program that addresses two critical challenges: reducing the carbon footprint of concrete and repurposing plastic waste into high-value construction materials. The outcomes are expected to support new material development, prototype validation and practical uptake by industry partners. The team This role will report to A/Prof Thong Pham and sit within the School of Civil Engineering and Construction in the College of Engineering and Information Technology. The successful candidate will work with a multidisciplinary team spanning structural engineering, sustainable concrete materials, polymer/plastic fibre technology, AI-assisted optimisation and industry translation. The role will involve close engagement with university researchers, HDR students, technical staff and industry partners, including collaborators involved in recycled plastic fibre production and construction applications. The position is suited to a researcher who can work across both laboratory-based material development and industry-focused implementation. Description We are inviting applications for a Post-doctoral Associate in the Division of Social Science at NYU Abu Dhabi from individuals who have or will soon receive a PhD in Economics with fields of research in Macroeconomics or Computational Social Science. The appointment is for 2 years and will begin September 1, 2026, subject to final budget approval and visa acquisition by the prospective postdoc candidate. The post-doctoral associate will spend half their time on independent research, and half their time on collaborative research with Professors Alaïs Martin-Baillon, Jordan Norris, and Samreen Malik. The collaborative research will be on macroeconomic expectations, with a focus on firms and the role of networks. An ideal candidate may have experience with surveys and have expertise in computational economics. The position does not require teaching, but it may be possible to get teaching experience for compensation.
