Maintain a portfolio showcasing the application of AI and Information Technology in Chinese language and culture teaching. Preference will be extended to applicants who possess one or more of the following additional qualifications: Experience in language enhancement funded projects, such as UGC’s TDLEG or the University's teaching development initiatives. Experience in Experiential Learning (EL) and in organizing and leading EL programmes and student outbound activities. A high level of competence in written English. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching the CLEP courses and working on language enhancement projects, together with some administrative duties. They should preferably have a recognized postgraduate qualification, at Master’s level or equivalent in Applied Linguistics or a related discipline. They are expected to have at least 3 years’ post-qualification teaching experience, preferably at tertiary level, or relevant professional experience. The Centre is specifically looking for candidates with competence in the following areas: (i) teaching academic literacy and communication skills at the undergraduate level; (ii) embedding digital competence and multimodal communication in teaching practice and materials design; and (iii) supporting student learning beyond the classroom through blended-learning and digital resources. Ref.: 534129 Work type: Full-time Department: Department of Surgery, School of Clinical Medicine (21700) Categories: Professoriate Staff Applications are invited for appointment as Tenure-Track Associate Professor in the Department of Surgery, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 534129), to commence as soon as possible, on a three-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and consideration for tenure before the expiry of a second three-year fixed-term contract. Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree or equivalent in Surgery or related disciplines, with a strong track record in urology research, in particular on genetic epidemiology, genetic functional study, and clinical translational research for prostate cancer and other urological diseases. They should have leadership and evidence of international standing, outstanding achievements in high-quality research as indicated by publication record and external grants, and demonstrated ability to work across disciplines towards new research initiatives that fit with the Department’s research areas. They should also show a strong commitment to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching.   The appointee is expected to conduct independent and collaborative scholarly research and attract competitive grants to maintain active research programmes. He/She will take part in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, and supervise research postgraduate students. He/She is also expected to perform administrative duties.
