Ref.: 536633 Work type: Full-time Department: Centre for Information Technology in Education within the Faculty of Education (10001) Categories: Teaching Staff Full-time/ Part-time Lecturer / Assistant Lecturer (holding the title of Senior School Development Officer) in the Centre for Information Technology in Education within the Faculty of Education (Ref.: 536633) The Role The appointee will work closely with the project leaders to design and implement teacher and school networks, provide school-based professional support to schools, design and deliver network activities, conduct research and consolidate the team’s support experience for knowledge generation. He/She is expected to: assist the project leaders in leading the implementation and evaluation of school-based support programmes; coordinate and liaise with different parties for the smooth implementation of teacher and school networks; design and implement professional development workshops for teachers and school leaders on STEAM education, AI in science education, self-directed learning and innovation leadership; work collaboratively with project teachers in designing STEAM curricula that integrate AI technologies and incorporate self-directed learning strategies; work independently in developing, implementing and evaluating school-based support plans for project schools; foster multi-level innovation and leadership capacity in project schools; prepare project proposals and reports, draft research papers and case stories, develop design resources and project deliverables, and design and conduct qualitative and quantitative research; and perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications and Qualities Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in STEAM/ science education, artificial intelligence, e-learning, assessment, curriculum studies, education, or a related discipline; a recognized teaching qualification; and at least seven years of relevant experience in science teaching, curriculum development, learning design and/or providing professional support to schools to enhance STEAM/ science education. Preference will be given to candidates with a strong record of pedagogical innovation and experience in supporting teacher learning and professional development. Priority will also be given to those with research experience in teacher learning and/or school development related to curriculum or pedagogical innovations; those who have held leadership positions in schools; or those who have demonstrated expertise in managing or supporting large-scale school development projects. Applicants with less experience or fewer qualifications may be considered for appointment as Assistant Lecturer. What We Offer The appointment will commence on September 1, 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter on a 1-year temporary basis. Assistant Lecturer in French (Global and Area Studies)

Ref.: 536551 Work type: Full-time Department: School of Modern Languages and Cultures (05100) Categories: Teaching Staff Applications are invited for appointment as Assistant Lecturer in French (Global and Area Studies) in the School of Modern Languages and Cultures (Job No.:536551), to commence on August 15, 2026, or as soon as possible thereafter, on a two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to performance and availability of funding. Applicants should hold a BA and a relevant Master’s degree, with at least 2 years of teaching experience in tertiary education and proven expertise in teaching French to non-native speakers. They should be native or near-native speakers of French and possess strong communication skills in English (fluency in Cantonese or Putonghua is an advantage). Applicants should also be familiar with current trends in language teaching and have solid experience in event management. The appointee will be expected to teach a range of courses at various levels, assist in organising cultural events, and promote both Global and Area Studies (GLAS) programme and the French programme.
