We seek early-career scholars whose design research engages with emerging topics and methods within and adjacent to the field of landscape architecture, with particular focus in areas of applied ecology, such as conservation biology and restoration ecology, or in areas of advanced fabrication, landscape engineering, and critical approaches to data and representation. Appointments will be made on a two-year basis with the possibility of renewal or advancement toward tenure-track positions in the Division as and when available. Qualifications: Applicants should hold a doctoral degree (Ph.D., D.Sc., Dr.P.H. or equivalent) in Landscape Architecture or closely allied field. They shoud demonstrate an emerging record of innovative design research through their scholarship and/or creative practice as evidenced by peer review and other forms of recognition. Preference will be given to those who have experience in teaching and practicing design in a multidisciplinary context. Responsibilities: Research Professoriate staff are expected to pursue an independent research and design agenda in line with their area of specialization. Apppointees will be expected to teach, with duties that may include core and elective seminars and co-teaching duties in design studio within our Bachelor and Masters programs in landscape architecture. Broadly, the successful candidate will help build and sustain our innovation in design research and other scholarly initiatives within the Division. About the Division: The Division of Landscape Architecture offers an internationally recognized, rigorous, and dynamic research and teaching environment within the Department of Architecture at The University of Hong Kong.
