The University of Mohaghegh Ardabili is one of the fastest growing universities in Iran. It was established in 1978 as a college of agriculture under the supervision of Tabriz University. It became independent in 1996 as a separate university.
The main campus is located at Shorabil Lake in the Ardabil province. A further three campuses are located in Namin, Moghan, and Meshgin Shahr.
The university provides teaching research within the following disciplines: basic sciences; engineering; agriculture; new technologies, humanities and social sciences.There are 11 faculties, three research centers and 11 research groups. The university offers courses from undergraduate level up to PhD.
They have associate and bachelor programs to suit a wide range of students and their education interests. The institution also offers flexibility in the time it takes to complete a course.
Students at the University of Mohaghegh Ardabili are given the opportunity to live on or off campus. Off campus accommodation is only a short walk away from the campus and facilities.
Students living in dorms are also given the the option to eat lunch and dinner with their fellow students in the catering halls.
All students have access to a range of facilities such as the library and computer suites. Additionally, students and staff have access to an on-site medical team which includes counselling facilities.
Student services at the university also offer a number of extra-curricular activities as well as giving students the opportunity to organise or take part in cultural activities, sports clubs and career development sessions.
