About Entity (Hiring entity): The African Sustainable Agriculture Research Institute (ASARI) is a component of the Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P) in Laayoune City, south of Morocco. It constitutes a structure of applied research with a vision of solving real Local, Regional, and African agriculture challenges leveraging up-to-date science and technology. To implement its vision, ASARI puts a lot of emphasis on interdisciplinary research in sectors of strategic interest for the southern regions of Morocco and for the African continent such as: Plant & animal biotechnology (biosaline agriculture, animal production & nutrition, valorization of native aromatic & medicinal plants and algae, etc.) Sustainable technologies in water, environment, and energy sectors. Description of the position: African Sustainable Agriculture Research Institute (ASARI) at Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P) in Laayoune is seeking applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher in the field of Fungal Biotechnology and Biomass Valorization. Candidates should hold a PhD in fungal biotechnology, fungal genetics, or a related field. Ability to engage professionally with a diverse population of faculty, staff, and students across the university and externally is required. Evidence of research excellence is expected. Strong French and English communication skills, both verbal and written, are required. Education A Ph.D. in in fungal biotechnology, fungal genetics, or a related field from a recognized university. Requirement Strong expertise in fungal biotechnology and biodiversity Strong expertise in the extraction and characterization of enzymes Demonstrated expertise with isolating, culturing, and experimenting with various fungal species from field samples Experience in studying fungal biodiversity  Knowledge and familiarity with fungal genetic engineering High publication record in leading international and well ranked journals An experience in supervising of Master and/or PhD students Motivated self-starter with ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

The Department of German Studies at the University of Vienna is the largest research and teaching center in Austria, covering the fields of German language and German-language literatures. The work-group German as a Second Language (Deutsch als Zweitsprache) is led by Univ.-Prof. Dr. Inci Dirim. Here you can expect a small, dedicated team with a friendly work environment. The primary focus of the position is to support the "The speech action of multilingually socialized children in the institution of kindergarten" project in which the colleage being replaced is working. This involves processing oral language data from children and adults who speak German and Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian, and Slovak. Therefore, a high knowledge of these languages is desirable. The position offers the opportunity to gain research experience in this area. Furthermore, you are expected to support ongoing activities within the department, such as organizing examinations. Shoud the positon be extended, you would also be expected to undertake some teaching. Last but not least, you will be expected to participate in team activities such as joint meetings. The advertised position is for maternity leave cover until 30.06.2026 with the option of extension. Biorefinery Technology Instrumental process and product control. Assistance in the internal and external services of the department. Research proposal writing for external funding Strong expertise and international network in Agrifood science Supervision of Master-students, PhDs. Manuscript writing and publication in peer-reviewed journal. Education Ph.D. in Agrifood science or related field from a recognized University Requirement 3-5 years’ experience in the field of Agrifood science  High publication record in leading international and well ranked journals Strong experience in supervising Master and PhD students. High interested in applied research. Ability to work independently while collaborating within a multidisciplinary research team. Ability to initiate, conduct, and publish research results in a scientific manner and to attract external funding. Well-developed oral and written communication skills. The ability to communicate fluently in English.
