It is primarily engaged in scientific and research activities in the field of cardiovascular surgery and participates in both undergraduate and postgraduate education of medical and non-medical healthcare professionals. The candidate for the position of Head of the Clinic must be a respected expert in the field of cardiovascular surgery, with relevant professional experience and experience in teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The Head of the Clinic will be responsible for the management of the clinic, undergraduate education of students, postgraduate training, publication activities, and coordination of the clinic’s scientific and research activities. During the selection procedure, the candidate for the position of Head will be expected to present their vision for fulfilling the above-mentioned responsibilities. Requirements for a declared position: University degree in General Medicine or an equivalent qualification obtained abroad Eligibility for independent medical practice in the relevant field in accordance with § 5 of Act No. 95/2004 Coll. About the role The postdoctoral position will be an integrative part of an exciting ERC project dedicated to biosynthesize and electrochemically characterise a series of metalloenzymes as the central target of the last WP3 of the ERC project. The postdoc will have to also work on electrode chemical modifications and be able to work on computational modelling of the electrode/protein bioiterface. We are seeking highly motivated postdoctoral candidates willing to fully commit to an exciting, cutting-edge project. The skills we are looking for are, but not limited to:  Preparation of enzymes using recombinant methods; synthesis, purification and modification. Experience in bioelectrochemistry and biosensing approaches using voltammetry, chronoamperometry and impedance spectroscopy. Biophysical characterization of enzyme proteins, use of CD, IR, NMR, etc Experience in computational modelling of biointerfaces using advanced molecular dynamic approaches This is a full time (35 hours per week) and you will be offered a fixed term contract until 28/02/2026. About the role: The role requires Counsellors to provide confidential psychological and emotional support to students, addressing a wide range of personal, social and academic challenges. The Counsellor will have extensive experience and skill in carrying out initial assessments with students, assessing student risk, previous mental health history and identifying therapeutic goals which are suitable for a short term therapeutic intervention. The Counsellor will manage a case load of individual clients, monitoring progress as well as referring students to internal and external supports where appropriate.
