The University of Lahore (UoL) was established in 1999 with the vision of becoming a world-class educational institution fulfilling all the learning needs of the students in Pakistan. The state-of-the-art facilities and infrastructure capable of offering innovative and quality training in a conducive and highly developed learning environment have significantly contributed to its current status of being the largest private-sector University in Pakistan. The University became a Degree Awarding Institution (DAI) through a Charter by the Government of Punjab in 2002.

The undergraduate and graduate programs offered at UoL are recognized by the HEC and respective regulatory bodies of Pakistan. The university also has fully accredited programs in Arts & Architecture, Engineering and Technology, Information Technology, Allied Health Sciences, Law, Pharmacy, Medicine and Dentistry, Sciences, Languages, Social Sciences, Agriculture and Management Sciences. UoL has strands of rigorous training, research, and entrepreneurship put in place to foster student potential. In our 24-year journey of academic progress, we have so far produced 65,000+ graduates passed out at 12 formally-held convocations.

University College of Medicine & Dentistry (UCMD) offers one of the country’s most forward-looking educational environments in Medicine & Dentistry. Students are being taught, and highly qualified academicians and clinicians manage patients. Teaching facilities, laboratories, pre-clinical and clinical areas, library, and IT Centre have been designed in a way that students are inspired to be at their best. On the other side, the University of Lahore Teaching Hospital (ULTH) provides fully-equipped and advanced medical services with more than 430 beds.

UoL recognizes the importance of international students to the life of the university and has developed foundations to encourage foreign students. We have the largest international community among private-sector universities in Pakistan, having students from 20+ countries.

The Hospitality Business Programme (BHB): The Bachelor of Hospitality Business with Honours is a direct honours degree programme. It is the first and only hospitality business degree programme offered by an autonomous university in Singapore. Qualifications: Applicants must be committed to excellence in discovery, teaching, and service to the hospitality and tourism industries. An applicant is required to have a Doctoral Degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management or a related field (e.g., Data Analytics, Big Data, Entrepreneurship, Asset Management, AI), preferably with extensive management experience in the hospitality and tourism business, excellent teaching experience, and a strong publication record (e.g., industry or community reports), or has the potential to excel in these three areas. Principal Duties: The Hospitality Business Programme (BHB) is seeking a Senior Lecturer, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Full Professor in one or two of the following areas: Hospitality Tech / Digitalization / AI Application in Hospitality and Tourism / AI Marketing Data Analytics / Big Data Hospitality Investment and Development / Asset Management (Hospitality) Entrepreneurship Additionally, the successful candidate will conduct funded industry-relevant research, teach courses in their areas of expertise, and supervise capstone students in relevant topics. They are also granted paid leave to undertake consultancy work with industry and/or spend time attached to industry. As a University of Applied Learning, SIT works closely with industry in our research pursuits. Our research staff will have the opportunity to be equipped with applied research skills that are relevant to industry demands while working on research projects in SIT.  The primary responsibility of this role is to contribute to an applied research project related to AI-assisted speech therapy in collaboration with hospital partners. Key Responsibilities: Model Development: Design, train, and fine-tune ASR and TTS models to achieve high accuracy and personalization across diverse speech patterns and impairments. Data Management: Oversee data collection and preprocessing in collaboration with healthcare partners to ensure quality, diversity, and clinical relevance. System Integration: Export and deploy models for real-time use on mobile and web platforms, and work with developers to ensure seamless integration. Tooling and Automation: Develop pipelines and utilities to support data processing, model training, evaluation, and continuous improvement. Collaboration and Knowledge Transfer: Document technical processes, contribute to multidisciplinary teamwork, and guide students in applied research and system development. Job Requirements: Educational Background  Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred. ASR/TTS Expertise Experience in training and fine-tuning Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) or Text-to-Speech (TTS) models, preferably in multilingual or speech impairment contexts. Programming Skills Strong proficiency in Python and deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow. Experience with web development (e.g., FastAPI, Flask, or React) is a plus.  Data Handling Familiarity with speech data collection, preprocessing, and management to ensure quality and ethical data use. The Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences is seeking to appoint a motivated individual to join the Medical Programme Professional Service Team. The post holder will work closely with the Senior Administrative Officer and Medical Programme Manager to support them in delivering assessment and progression processes and for the School of Medicine’s Graduate Medicine programme. The role This role will focus on managing and implementing processes in relation to all aspects of student assessment and ensuring accurate records and data are managed and in line with University and GMC regulations. The postholder is expected to build a knowledge of the systems and processes involved in order to meet expectations for recording and tracking student progress. About you The successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate strong technical and IT skills with a focus on reporting data and supporting the development of bespoke systems aimed at monitoring and recording student data. They should be a proactive individual, competent in the use of IT with an attitude open to change and working independently. The ability to work to a high level of accuracy is also essential.  The role will require excellent interpersonal and organisational ability demonstrating adaptability and flexibility with regards to changing workloads and priorities. The role will involve working with a range of staff across the School of Medicine and wider university and to adapt and support a number of professional administrative activities involved in the BMBS Graduate Medicine programme. We are looking for a flexible, enthusiastic and responsible person, with the ability to work both as an effective team member and independently.
