About University of Lagos

The University of Lagos, sometimes referred to as UNILAG, is a public research institution located in Lagos, Nigeria. It was established in 1962.

The university is made up of three campuses - two campuses are located at Yaba and the college of medicine is located at Idi-Araba, Surulere.

There are 12 faculties at the university including arts, clinical sciences, education, engineering, law, pharmacy, social sciences and sciences among others. There are also 12 institutes and colleges including the College of Medicine, the Institute of Maritime Studies, the UNILAG Business School and the International School.

There are a range of research institutions covering a diverse area of research topics including the Centre for Housing Studies.
