This role is ideal for an experienced near‑coastal seafarer who enjoys mentoring others and is ready to transition ashore into education. As a practice‑based facilitator of learning, you will support students to develop the skills, confidence and professionalism needed to succeed in the maritime industry. You will deliver theory and hands‑on training across deck, engineering and safety subjects, using a mix of classroom learning, simulators, live plant and vessel environments. The role includes curriculum and assessment development, marking and moderation, and contributing to continuous improvement in teaching delivery. While based in Launceston, this role involves regular teaching across AMC campuses, with opportunities for field trips, industry engagement and occasional interstate travel. Relocation may be available for the ideal candidate. What you’ll do: Safely co-ordinate and conduct lectures, tutorials, practical classes, workshops, field excursions and assessments in both in-person and online environments, prioritising positive student experience.
