Opportunity

This exciting position is a professorial position supported by a partnership between Richmond Fellowship Queensland (RFQ) and the University of Melbourne.

The successful candidate will be responsible for advancing research, education and practice in wellbeing science. This will involve developing, implementing and evaluating community-based wellbeing programs.
The University of Melbourne and RFQ partnership and this position are designed to make a unique contribution as an applied research centre, leading the field of wellbeing and thriving, including developing the tools that will support people with their self-development, personal growth and resilience.

This senior position requires a high degree of independent work, minimum supervision and high level of innovation and problem-solving skills connected with project management and the conceptual demands of undertaking research, teaching and community engagement.

About You

You will be well respected within the mental health and wellbeing science academic and professional communities.  You will have a specialisation that aligns closely with the CWS goal of making sustained impact upon the economic, psycho-social and cultural wellbeing of Australian society and the RFQ goal of promoting mental health and wellbeing and reducing social stigma among communities impacted by mental health concerns.

You will possess;


	A PhD or equivalent research doctorate in positive psychology and wellbeing science as well as demonstrated experience working at a Professor level.
	Demonstrated capacity to make a leadership contribution to the future directions of research to meet community and global needs relating to wellbeing and human thriving.
	Experience in working with service providers and community groups to deliver mental health and wellbeing programs to diverse groups.
	Evidence of successful teaching at undergraduate and graduate level, including the ability to make significant contributions to the design and coordination of innovative and distinguished programs as well as successful knowledge transfer activities.

The Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience (IoPPN) is a Faculty of King's College London and the largest academic community in Europe devoted to the study and prevention of mental illness and brain disease.

The School of Mental Health & Psychological Sciences (MHaPS) is one of three schools under the IoPPN, comprised of the four departments of Psychology; Social, Genetic & Developmental Psychiatry; Health Service & Population Research; and Biostatistics & Health Informatics. With over 100 Principal Investigators, our research spans development from childhood to old age, encompassing basic research through to the development and implementation of treatments, services and policy.

About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Mental Health & Psychological Sciences (MHaPS) Professional Services (PS) team and we are looking to appoint a highly efficient Business Operations Officer (Maternity Cover) to support administrative duties within the HR & Finance Cluster.

The role holder will work closely with the Senior Business Support Officer and Senior Business Manager to deliver support to the four Departments. We have a small, busy but friendly team that are working to strengthen the partnership between academics, researchers and professional services across the School, Faculty and University. The team were formed late last year as part of a faculty-wide reshaping and have already started to build strong working relationships across the school, faculty and our colleagues within the central directorate teams. The post holder will be key to maintaining and building on these existing relationships.

The role would suit someone who is able to effectively manage competing priorities, pay good attention to detail and has a willingness and the ability to effectively communicate to a range of stakeholders. We will provide training on the various internal systems that will enable the successful candidate to work proactively and independently to complete tasks. The role will provide a wide variety of experience and skills to the post holder and provide opportunities for personal development through working across HR & Finance administration as part of the overall operational management for the large and complex School. As a commitment to this, the successful post holder can spend up to 15% of their time contributing to their personal development and participating in cross Faculty / University initiatives (in discussion with line manager).

This is a hybrid role, and the post holder is expected to be on campus minimum 2 days per week. While individuals are designated primarily to a certain building/campus, the post holder will need to work across multiple buildings (Denmark Hill Campus and Guy’s Campus) and should remain flexible when asked to spend more than 2 days on any of our campuses.

This is a full-time position (35 hours per week) on a fixed term contract for up to 12 months (maternity cover)

About you

To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience:

Essential criteria


	Experience of using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
	Numeracy and financial management skills with ability to understand and analyse basic reports and datasets.
	Ability to autonomously prioritise workload and proactively work under pressure in a busy environment.
	Excellent organisational and administrative skills with a working knowledge of a range of practices used to deliver effective and efficient support.
	Good communication and interpersonal Skills. Ability to receive and relay information to relevant stakeholders at various levels.

Desirable criteria


	Working knowledge and experience of HR & Finance systems (Such as PeopleXD and Business World). Including relevant software and regulations.
	Experience of having worked within Higher Education or similar with detailed knowledge of policy and procedural challenges faced by sector.
	Experience of successfully managing a shared Mailbox using platform such as Outlook.
	Experience of having worked in either a dedicated HR or Finance department.

Description
The Department for the Study of Religion at San Diego State University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Judaism with a focus on Sustainability. There is no geographical priority or methodological requirement. We seek candidates who specialize in the intersections of religion and environmental justice, feminist ecologies, ecologies of care, climate change, biocultural diversity, conservation, land use, or another subfield of critical sustainability studies, to begin Fall 2025. Proficiency in pertinent language/s is expected. The successful candidate will possess a clear research agenda evidenced by a history of or potential for significant scholarly contribution and public engagements in relevant venues. They will also be able to teach two particular courses—“Judaism” and “Nature, Spirituality, Ecology”—and they will have the requisite expertise to develop other classes related to the Study of Religion. Teaching experience at the undergraduate level is preferred. Applicants must hold a PhD in the Study of Religion or a related field by the time of appointment. The minimum salary for this position is based on the current CSU salary schedule for Assistant Professors and may be revised based on contract collective bargaining. The anticipated salary range is from $85k-$89k. Salary placement will be based on the selected candidate's qualifications and experience, and salaries higher than the published maximums may be offered in limited circumstances.
