Applications are now invited for the following post: Assistant Professor of Teaching Master of Science in Cross-disciplinary Technologies+ Doctor of Smart Manufacturing Wu Jieh Yee School of Interdisciplinary Studies (Post Ref.: 26/99) The Wu Jieh Yee School of Interdisciplinary Studies (WJYSIS) was established to deepen interdisciplinary studies and scholarly collaboration. WJYSIS positions at the fusion of excellence of interdisciplinary research and education. WJYSIS is looking for experienced Assistant Professors of Teaching who will (i) teach multiple subjects in Master of Science in Cross-disciplinary Technologies+ (MScCT+) and Doctor of Smart Manufacturing (DSM), focusing on information systems, business and data analytics, electronic business, digital marketing and new media, smart manufacturing, artificial intelligence, etc., (ii) work on the promotions and admissions as well as the operations for MScCT+ and DSM, and (iii) contribute to other administrative duties as required by the supervisors. General Requirements Candidates should have (i) a doctoral degree in engineering, data science, computer science, business, information systems, artificial intelligence, or other relevant areas; (ii) a minimum of 3 years’ experience in teaching relevant courses and relevant programme administrative experience; and (iii) good command of English and Chinese (including Mandarin). Candidates who possess a strong academic background but have less teaching experience, or those with lower qualifications but substantial teaching experience, will also be considered. Description NYUAD Experimental High Energy Physics group is searching for a post-doctoral associate to join the planned group's efforts to be involved in the ATLAS experiment as part of the UAE-ATLAS cluster, composed of three UAE institutions. Candidates must demonstrate experience in experimental high energy physics. The group will be contributing to the Physics Modeling (MC software, MC validation and Pileup modeling), the MET High-Level Trigger validation, optimization and performance studies, and to the heterogeneous computing where the focus will be to work on to the current efforts on accelerator developments towards the HL-LHC. Expertise in trigger development, performance and optimization and/or the ATLAS computing model is preferred. The selected candidate will work in the ATLAS experiment at the Large Hadron Collider. The appointment will be for two years, with the possibility for renewal, subject to mutual agreement. The successful candidate is expected to take a leading role in the development of the group tasks and help in supervising PhD students.
