The Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities invites applications for the position of Associate/Assistant Professor of Philosophy with a specialization in Philosophy of Science or History of Western Philosophy. The area of research specialty (AoS) is open, and the aforementioned approach would be preferable. The Department has teaching needs at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Qualifications Applicants must hold a PhD in Philosophy, or in a related area. Applicants are expected to have an international research profile and strong publication record, commensurate with their career stage, in their area of research expertise preferably in Philosophy of Science or History of Western Philosophy. Applicants should also have an excellent record of tertiary teaching and supervision experience, again commensurate with their career stage. Fluency in both English and Chinese is preferred. The selected candidate is expected to assume duty in August 2026. Remuneration A taxable annual remuneration starting from MOP855,400 (approximately USD105,600) will be commensurate with the successful applicants’ academic qualification and relevant professional experience. The current local maximum income tax rate is 12% but is effectively around 5% - 7% after various discretionary exemptions. Scope of Position: Duke-NUS Medical School invites applications for a full-time Assistant/Associate Professor in AI for Medical Education within the Office of Education. This innovative role will apply Artificial Intelligence technologies and approaches to support and enhance educational delivery, assessment, and learning experiences, while also contributing to curriculum development that prepares future physicians to practice effectively in an AI-enhanced healthcare environment. Working in close partnership with MD curriculum leadership, teams, faculty, administrators, and students, the successful applicant will co-lead and support initiatives to develop and integrate AI-powered educational tools across our MD curriculum, conduct research on AI applications in medical education, and design and deliver an AI literacy curriculum. This position represents a unique opportunity to shape the future of medical education at the intersection of technology and healthcare.
