The University of East Sarajevo is a public university in Bosnia and Herzegovina, located in Republika Srpska. It was established in 1992 and serves students across multiple cities in the eastern part of the country.
It was founded following the restructuring of the University of Sarajevo during the Bosnian War and has since developed into a multi faculty institution.
It offers undergraduate and postgraduate programmes across 17 faculties including medicine, economics, law, philosophy, engineering, agriculture, technology, arts, music, education, business economics, sports sciences and theology.
The university is decentralised, with faculties located in East Sarajevo, Pale, Foča, Bijeljina, Zvornik, Trebinje and Doboj. This structure allows it to serve a wide regional population.
It has approximately 8,000 students and over 900 academic staff.
Facilities include lecture halls, laboratories, research centres and specialised training environments, including medical education facilities in Foča.
The university maintains partnerships with institutions in Serbia and other regional partners, supporting academic exchange and research collaboration.

Working closely with the Centre Director, Prof Mandy Nikpour, Centre Manager, Stephanie Beshara, and senior academic leaders, including Dr Marina Pinheiro, you will help embed health economic thinking across musculoskeletal research by providing operational, technical, and project support to researchers seeking to incorporate economic evaluation into their work. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a growing centre of research excellence, supporting the coordination of Hub services, connecting researchers with specialist expertise across the University and external partners, and helping deliver practical guidance on health economic approaches. Your key responsibilities will be to: Support the establishment and day-to-day delivery of the Health Economics Support Hub, working closely with senior academic leaders to embed high-quality health economics support across musculoskeletal research. Facilitate connections between researchers and relevant health economics expertise across the University of Sydney and external partner organisations to strengthen research capability and collaboration. About you Tertiary qualifications (Bachelor's degree or equivalent) in a relevant field, ideally in MSK or public health, with an equivalent combination of relevant training and experience. Demonstrated experience in health economics, health services research, biostatistics, or a related discipline, with knowledge of health economics methodologies such as economic evaluation, economic modelling, discrete choice experiments, and quality of life research. Demonstrated track record of grant applications, peer reviewed publications and/or policy-relevant report in health economics, or a related area Experience with data linkage projects to evaluate healthcare resource use and costs Strong project coordination skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, monitor budgets and expenditure, maintain accurate records, and deliver outcomes with a high level of organisation and attention to detail. The Department of Computer Science is now looking for a Postdoctoral Researcher in Geometric Algorithms. We are seeking a postdoctoral researcher to join our computational geometry team through the grant entitled "Algorithms in hyperbolic geometry" funded by the Research Council of Finland. Computational geometry is the theoretical basis for all types of geometric processing of data, and it is an important and vibrant area of Theoretical Computer Science (TCS). The research will be focused on algorithms and computational complexity in Euclidean and especially non-Euclidean (e.g. hyperbolic) settings. Your role and goals Your primary goal in this position will be to do excellent research on the frontiers of geometric algorithms, both in collaboration with the team and in your existing professional network. We aim to continue publishing in the top international venues in theoretical computer science and computational geometry. In addition to research work, persons hired are expected to participate in teaching following the standard practices at the department. Your network and team You will be working closely with the Computational Geometry Group, which currently has 5 members: two PhD students, 2 postdocs, and the PI (Sándor Kisfaludi-Bak). Aalto University and the Helsinki region have a strong presence in theoretical computer science, and collaboration outside the group (as well as international collaboration) is highly encouraged.
