We offer broad theoretical study and practical training for students seeking careers in Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area's burgeoning creative and cultural industries. DACI currently offers three Undergraduate programmes, BA (Hons) Aminations and Digital Arts, BA (Hons) in Creative Media Industries and BA (Hons) in Visual Studies, and two taught master programmes, MA in Creative and Media Industries (MACMI) and MA in Curating and Art History (MACAH). DACI is inviting applications for fixed-term position of Research Assistant Professor to contribute to teaching and service to MA in Creative and Media Industries (MACMI) programme. Assistant Professor in Photonics and Quantum Technologies We welcome applications from researchers working at the forefront of photonics, quantum technologies, or their applications, to lead research and education of photonics and quantum technologies at the Department of Electronics and Nanoengineering. The successful candidate will establish a research direction that complements and strengthens existing expertise in the department, while actively collaborating with colleagues and leveraging the state-of-the-art infrastructure at the Micronova Center for Micro-, Nano- and Quantum Technology. In addition to developing an ambitious research agenda, the appointee will contribute to education in the field, including participation in Aalto’s international Quantum Technology BSc program. We welcome research across the broad frontiers of photonics and quantum technologies. You will address key technical challenges, including in process monitoring, and will investigate the application of adaptable technologies from other sectors to enhance system performance. This includes exploring the use of digital twins for bioreactors and deploying AI driven predictive models to improve optimisation, consistency and overall yield. USAIS is renowned for providing a regional service for severely and profoundly deaf children, young people and adults across the south of England and the Channel Islands. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to life-changing care for individuals with severe to profound hearing loss, supporting them through assessment, implantation, and rehabilitation and beyond. The work includes specialist psychological assessment, formulation and therapy and there are opportunities for individual work, group work, and work with the wider system. Consultation and advice on patient’s psychological care to the wider multi-disciplinary team, as well as liaison with external agencies is an important aspect of the work. You will be a valued and key member of the multi-disciplinary team and have opportunities to shape the Clinical Psychology Service at USAIS. There are opportunities to teach on courses run at the University and with partner charities and organisations, as well as be involved in audit and service development within USAIS. You will also have a key role in the USAIS safeguarding team which provides consultation and support to the wider team. Attendances at conferences and training courses is encouraged and supported for continuing professional development.
