We are offering an exciting opportunity for two Clinical Psychologists to join the Clinical Psychology Training Programme at the University of Surrey, based in Guildford. We have two permanent, part-time roles available (0.6 FTE/21.6 hours per week). We are happy to support hybrid working but the post holder is expected to be in on Tuesday when the trainees are at the University, and at least one other day per week.  The role The programme has expanded significantly in recent years due to increased NHS England funding. The post-holder will: Work closely with local NHS Trusts Support placements, supervisor training, and trainee supervision Contribute to the collaborative university–NHS training environment About the Programme & School The PsychD team is a welcoming, innovative group with diverse clinical and research interests The programme sits within the Discipline of Clinical and Health Psychology in the School of Psychology The School has an excellent reputation for applied psychology teaching and research You will join a vibrant department with strong commitments to inclusion, antiracism, and serving under-represented communities There are opportunities for professional development, including eligibility for a Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education (if not already held) About you Applicants must be HCPC-registered Clinical Psychologists. We welcome all areas of clinical expertise, with particular interest in candidates experienced in neuropsychological assessment or working with older adults and people with learning disabilities. Successful candidates will: Work effectively as part of a team Be committed to developing trainee clinical competencies Ideally contribute to the programme’s research profile Support inclusive leadership and embed equality, diversity, and inclusion throughout the programme All post-holders need to: Hold a doctorate in clinical psychology (or equivalent) Contribute to evaluation of clinical competencies Develop and maintain links with local NHS Trusts Contribute to teaching, learning, and programme administration Engage in leadership development opportunities offered by the role Have experience working in the NHS This post will be offered at Lecturer A or B level depending on clinical and teaching experience (see job profiles below for more information). A formal teaching qualification is required for those applying for Lecturer B. The full time equivalent salary range for a Lecturer A is £37,694 - £56,535, and for a Lecturer B is £47,389 - £63,606 (pro rata for 0.6 FTE). About us The King’s Health Partners Clinical Trials Office (KHP-CTO) is a collaboration between King’s College London, Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust. It is set up to provide a single interface for those wishing to conduct clinical trials within the partner organisations, and to ensure that there are common, efficient processes for the set up and administration of clinical trials.  About the role The Commercial Trials Assistant will provide administrative support to the Kings Health Partners Clinical Trials Office Commercial Team in management of the setup, governance and maintenance of commercial clinical trials. You will report to the KHP-CTO Operations Manager. Reporting to the MRC DTP Manager, you will lead on communications, marketing, engagement, events, and equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) activities. You will develop and implement strategies to ensure the DTP’s messages, goals, and values are communicated clearly and consistently across multiple channels, including web, social media, and digital platforms. You will play a central role in building connections within our student community and with external stakeholders. The Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences is seeking to appoint a motivated individual to join the Medical Programme Professional Service Team. The post holder will work closely with the Senior Administrative Officer and Medical Programme Manager to support them in delivering assessment and progression processes and for the School of Medicine’s Graduate Medicine programme. The role This role will focus on managing and implementing processes in relation to all aspects of student assessment and ensuring accurate records and data are managed and in line with University and GMC regulations. The postholder is expected to build a knowledge of the systems and processes involved in order to meet expectations for recording and tracking student progress. About you The successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate strong technical and IT skills with a focus on reporting data and supporting the development of bespoke systems aimed at monitoring and recording student data. They should be a proactive individual, competent in the use of IT with an attitude open to change and working independently. The ability to work to a high level of accuracy is also essential. The role will require excellent interpersonal and organisational ability demonstrating adaptability and flexibility with regards to changing workloads and priorities. The role will involve working with a range of staff across the School of Medicine and wider university and to adapt and support a number of professional administrative activities involved in the BMBS Graduate Medicine programme. We are looking for a flexible, enthusiastic and responsible person, with the ability to work both as an effective team member and independently. We are seeking a highly accomplished and strategic legal professional to join our senior team as the Director of Legal Services. This pivotal role provides strategic leadership and management for the University of Surrey’s legal function, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, timely, and business-focused legal advice across the full range of university activity. You will be instrumental in developing legal processes and systems, overseeing the delivery of legal services, and managing crucial relationships with external legal advisers to support our ambitious global strategy. The role Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Director of Legal Services will deliver expert legal advice on employment law, student related matters, commercial and IT contracts, procurement, subsidiary governance, data protection, charity law, and operational property matters. The postholder will balance legal risk and regulatory obligations with institutional priorities, providing clear, pragmatic direction on complex issues, ultimately ensuring that there is robust legal compliance across the University and its subsidiaries. The role holds significant institutional accountability as the University’s most senior legal adviser, and is responsible for ensuring that all legal, regulatory, and contractual risks are appropriately identified, managed, and escalated. The postholder will deliver expert advice on routine commercial and operational matters, as well as supporting major institutional projects, including transnational education partnerships and overseas campus developments. About you We are looking for a qualified solicitor or barrister with demonstrable experience providing legal advice at senior or executive level. You will have a strong understand of legal frameworks relevant to higher education, charities or the public sector – this may include knowledge of the Higher Education and Research Act, Office for Students regulation, charity law and/or public procurement.  The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in drafting and reviewing comprehensive governance frameworks, policies, and terms of reference, demonstrating a robust technical understanding of both risk management and governance frameworks, coupled with a deep understanding of the governance implications arising from major partnerships, collaborations, and commercial ventures.  The role requires high-level autonomous decision making and expert problem solving in a complex and rapidly evolving regulatory environment - the successful candidate will be expected to interpret ambiguous legislation and must be confident making informed judgements and finding solutions where precedent may be limited or non-existent.
