Thiagarajar College of Engineering (TCE) is a government-aided engineering college located in the city of Madurai, in the South Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It was founded in 1957 by the philanthropist and industrialist Karumuttu Thiagarajan Chettiar to provide quality education in engineering and technology. The college is affiliated with Anna University, Madurai, and offers a comprehensive range of academic programmes. Its nine undergraduate programmes cover various engineering disciplines, while its nine postgraduate programmes offer specialisation options in different fields of engineering and science. In addition, the college offers research programmes (MS and PhD) for students aspiring to contribute to the realm of scientific research. The robotics club offers students a chance to supplement their education and gain hands-on experience in integration engineering. Over the years, the club has engaged students through workshops, contests and tutorials, to foster students' interest in robotics. There are two campus hostels available for students, one for male and one for female students.

As a University of Applied Learning, SIT works closely with industry in our research pursuits. Our research staff will have the opportunity to be equipped with applied research skill sets that are relevant to industry demands while working on research projects in SIT.  Job Responsibilities Participate in and manage a few research projects with the Principal Investigator (PI), Co-PI and the research team members to ensure all project deliverables are met. Accumulate data from Co-PIs for quarterly, annual, or final progress reports Schedule meetings with co-PIs, collaborators on-site or off-site Update research or project team's activities on social media, website, and record videos when needed. Supporting PI/research team for overseas traveling, meetings, budgeting and collecting photos for reports. Facilitate visiting students or scholars for internal document collection and approval. Collect documents needed for different projects as KPIs. Undertake these responsibilities in the project: i. Lead and support high-quality publications to disseminate the applied research outcomes. ii. Plan, organize, and carry out experiments and trials in the labs to achieve the objectives iii. Manage and complete the project by presenting the findings in conferences or meetings with industrial collaborator, submitting timely data & documents, and purchasing chemicals or consumables. iv. Consolidate the data in order to generate sufficient scientific evidence for meeting slides and reports. v. Engage and communicate with collaborators for progress meetings and report generation to meet the grantor's requirements. The candidate is to liaise and communicate with any internal or external stakeholders to ensure project deliverables are met and to perform any other adhoc duties assigned by Supervisor.  Job requirements Have relevant competence in the areas of project management, organizing documents, and facilitating report drafting. Have a degree in Food Science and Technology, Engineering or Science is a bonus. Some analytical work experience for texture analysis, food formulation and characterization, or publication is a bonus Detail-oriented person, able to communicate with industrial collaborators to share key findings, seek supports, or conduct commercial trials. Coordinate procurement and liaison with vendors/suppliers. Work independently, as well as within a team, to ensure proper operation and maintenance of equipment.

Role Overview As a University of Applied Learning, Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT) works closely with industry partners to develop applied research capabilities that translate directly into real-world deployment. Our research staff are equipped with industry-relevant skills through hands-on work on operational research platforms and systems. The SIT Centre for Intelligent Robotics (CIR) is a strategic capability centre under RoboPrecinct@Punggol Digital District (PDD), responsible for developing and sustaining the simulation, digital twin, and embodied AI foundations required for precinct-level deployment of robotic systems. We are seeking a Robotics Simulation Engineer to support the Centre’s robotics and embodied AI initiatives. This role focuses on the design, implementation, and maintenance of multi-platform robotics simulation environments, supporting research, development, testing, and Sim2Real transfer of robotic systems. The successful candidate will work across NVIDIA Isaac Sim, Gazebo, MuJoCo, and related simulation platforms, enabling scalable experimentation and robust system-level evaluation prior to real-world deployment. Key Responsibilities Develop, configure, and maintain robotics simulation environments across multiple platforms, including NVIDIA Isaac Sim, Gazebo, MuJoCo, and other relevant simulators for different applications and robotics platform Design modular and reusable simulation assets for robots, environments, sensors, and physics configurations. Integrate robotic platforms into simulation, including URDF/SDF workflows, articulation setup, and validation of kinematics and dynamics. Configure and tune physics simulation parameters (contacts, friction, joint limits, control rates, solver settings) to ensure realistic robot behaviour. Develop and maintain sensor simulation pipelines (RGB, depth, RGB-D, LiDAR, IMU) for perception and learning-based robotics. Support simulation-to-real (Sim2Real) workflows, including domain randomization, sensor noise modelling, and reality-gap mitigation. Integrate simulations with ROS / ROS 2 for closed-loop robot control, testing, and benchmarking. Automate simulation setup, execution, and experiment management using Python and C++, supporting batch experiments and data collection. Support system-level experimentation, benchmarking, and iterative improvement of embodied AI and robotic applications. Prepare technical documentation, simulation guidelines, and reusable templates to support knowledge transfer and long-term maintainability. Provide mentorship to undergraduate students in projects. Carry out risk assessment, and ensure compliance with Work, Safety and Health Regulations. Prepare technical documentation, reports, and implementation guides to support knowledge transfer and long-term maintainability. Contribute to publications and technical notes to disseminate research outcomes. The employee is to communicate with any relevant internal or external stakeholders to ensure project deliverables are met. Any other adhoc duties assigned by supervisor. Requirements Bachelor’s degree or higher in Robotics, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Control Engineering, or a related discipline. Hands-on experience with at least two robotics simulation platforms, such as NVIDIA Isaac Sim, Gazebo, or MuJoCo. Practical experience working with URDF and/or SDF robot models and simulation integration. Working knowledge of robotics physics and dynamics, including articulated systems. Experience integrating simulation environments with ROS or ROS 2. Proficiency in Python, with working knowledge of C++ for simulation or robotics software development. Minimum 2 years of experience in robotics simulation, robotics research, or industry-based robotics projects. Preferred Skillsets (Advantageous) Experience with USD-based workflows and Omniverse-based simulation environments. Familiarity with PhysX and/or other physics engines used in robotics simulation. Experience supporting Sim2Real pipelines for real-robot deployment. Exposure to reinforcement learning, imitation learning, or learning-based control in simulation. Experience working with mobile manipulators, humanoid robots, or legged robots. Familiarity with GPU-accelerated simulation, performance optimisation, and Linux-based systems.

Job Purpose The Professional Officers Division (POD) houses a centralized pool of academic staff under the Professional Officers scheme. Professional Officers come with specialised and deep technical skills acquired through extensive industry experience. They form the talent pool which brings a much-needed industry perspective to student learning. They facilitate applied learning and applied research in SIT, complementing the academic expertise of the faculty to bring industry practices and applications into the curriculum. Professional Officers leverage on their industry experiences to create authentic learning environments, where discovery and innovation take place. They act as coaches and mentors to students during practical learning activities such as laboratory sessions, Capstone Projects and the Integrated Work Study Programme (IWSP). Professional Officers could also lead or work with faculty on industry innovation projects to provide solutions to the industry. In addition to their role in applied learning and applied research, Professional Officers manage the centralised laboratory facilities and resources in SIT. With Technical Officers, laboratory safety professionals, and administrators in POD, they jointly develop central policies and processes for the safe and seamless operation of laboratories in SIT. Key Responsibilities Design and teach labs & practice modules. Mentor students in Capstone Projects and the Integrated Work Study Programme (IWSP). Lead or co-lead innovation projects with industry. Manage labs and equipment to support academic programmes and applied research. Ensure safety in labs. Job Requirements Education & Certifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, or related fields from a recognized University. Industry certifications like OSCP, CISSP, or CEH are a plus. Experience: At least 5+ years of experience in security analyst, preferably with exposure to cybersecurity applications. Proven experience as a Certified Security Analyst or in a related role, with a strong understanding of industry best practices, cybersecurity frameworks, IoT Security, OT Security, and Mobile Security. Strong understanding of cryptography, including symmetric and asymmetric cryptographic primitives, protocols, and PQC. Experience with adversarial machine learning techniques and defenses. Clear understanding of information security principles and the cyber technology landscape. Ability to develop and enforce security policies, conduct security awareness training, and stay updated on emerging cyber threats and hacker methodologies. Experience in developing and enhancing frameworks or standard operating procedures (SOPs) for handling cybersecurity incidents in different industries. Soft Skills & Mindset: Passionate about cybersecurity, technically hands-on, willing to learn, and curious about the inner workings of Enterprise/OT/Telecommunications technologies and exploiting their vulnerabilities. Strong interest in supporting research and academic projects, with the ability to adopt and manage new security technologies. Speech and Language Therapy: Speech and Language Therapy involves assessment, diagnosis, treatment and management of communication and swallowing disorders (Allied Health Professions Act 2011). Occupational Therapy: Occupational therapy involves assessment and interventions to work or school, self-care, leisure or play, physical environments as well as cognitive, mental and physical components of function to enable individuals affected by physical injury or illness, developmental or learning disabilities, psychosocial dysfunctions or the aging process, to engage in everyday life occupations in order to maximise independent performance of life roles, prevent disability and maintain health (Allied Health Professions Act 2011). Physiotherapy: Physiotherapy involves assessment, treatment, rehabilitation and prevention of pain, injury, or any other physical dysfunction, through the use of education, exercise, manual therapy, electro-physical agents, technology or any other treatment for those purposes (Allied Health Professions Act 2011).
