About the Role We are seeking an enthusiastic and ambitious academic to join our team as Senior Lecturer in Educational Leadership. In this role, you will: design and deliver subjects in Educational Leadership contribute to the growth of the Master of Education program support the professional experience of our students engage in impactful research and supervise postgraduate students, and play an active role in the School’s governance, community initiatives, and external partnerships. This position requires a dynamic academic leader with a strong research profile, a commitment to excellence in teaching, and the ability to foster collaborative relationships across the School and wider community. Your personal sphere of influence: What Applicants can expect: The group for Chemical Sensing and Rapid Analysis at the University of Vienna designs novel biomimetic recognition materials targeting analytes reaching from small molecules to nanostructures and biological systems. It is internationally reputed in the areas of polymer-based and self-organized sensor layers. The position is advertised for four years. Your future tasks: The successful candidate will focus on synthesizing novel molecularly imprinted polymers (MIP) for environmentally relevant analytes (pesticides, PFAS) and on characterizing them as sensor materials (thin film, particles) in the liquid phase, mainly in mass-sensitive and electrochemical detection, including assay formats relying on MIP nanoparticles. This also comprises applying different instrumental techniques (for instance scanning probe microscopy, vibrational spectroscopy, DLS) to characterize the materials and their interactions with the analyte.
