The Faculty of Medicine School of Clinical and Experimental Sciences, supported by Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (HIOWH), wishes to appoint an Associate Professor / Senior Clinical Lecturer in General Psychiatry. The successful candidate will have previously won external funding, have a strong record of research and publication, and be expected to develop a programme of research with support from clinical and laboratory-based colleagues. They will have demonstrable potential to acquire further independent funding and be expected to gain external funding equivalent to around 50% of the salary beyond the first three years. They will contribute to academic leadership within the Faculty and Trust and enhance the quality of research, enterprise and teaching. They would undertake clinical and basic research in psychiatry, aligned with the research strategy of the Faculty, School and Trust, teach at undergraduate and postgraduate level, and undertake leadership, management and engagement activities across the two organisations. They would be able to make strategic judgements and contribute to the external profile of both the University and the Trust. The successful candidate will hold a primary medical qualification and full registration with the GMC or equivalent organisation, have MRCPsych or an equivalent recognised qualification, a certificate of completed specialist training (or equivalent) in general psychiatry, and a PhD or DM or equivalent relevant higher degree. The University Department of Psychiatry pursues research in affective disorders, alcohol use disorders, behavioural addictions, dementia, psychopharmacology, neuroimaging and psychoneuroimmunology. The Role and the Department The role supports the IS Senior Manager (Integrations) to deliver effective integration solutions to the University and is part of the wider Information Services (IS) collection of teams, which underpins the delivery of customer focused information systems and services. Specifically, the post holder will: Support the design and implementation of software integration solutions across the university's enterprise applications, evaluating existing components or systems to determine integration requirements and ensuring final solutions meet organisational architecture principals.Development of test cases and new methods to accelerate the integration task, as well as documenting integration processes for different stakeholders.Support ongoing maintenance and enhancement of the university's integration environments.Development and implementation of automation scripts, for operational and analytical improvements.Deploy software builds and integration, developing and testing automation scripts using automation and troubleshooting in cases of failure.Work closely with Professional Support and Academic departments to support and identify requirements or improvements for integration. Schemes of Service: Research Division: Health and Social Sciences Employment Type: Fixed Term Job Purpose As a University of Applied Learning, SIT works closely with industry in our research pursuits. Our research staff will have the opportunity to be equipped with applied research skill sets that are relevant to industry demands while working on research projects in SIT. The primary responsibility of this role is to coordinate all aspects of the intervention and study processes, including recruitment, planning, implementation, liaison with stakeholders, monitoring, data management, outcome evaluation and dissemination activities. This will be a part time role. Key Responsibilities Participate in and manage the research project with Principal Investigator (PI), Co-PI and the research team members to ensure all project deliverables are met. Undertake these responsibilities in the project:  i. Coordinate day-to-day study operations, including project timelines, participant scheduling, and study logistics ii. Maintain study documentation, recruitment logs, screening records, and project trackers iii. Coordinate meetings and communications among investigators, support workers, clinicians, and participants iv. Ensure intervention fidelity and adherence to the study protocol v. Manage study resources and intervention materials as required vi. Assist with participant screening, recruitment, enrolment, and follow-up activities vii. Support informed consent procedures in accordance with the study protocol and ethics requirements viii. Maintain participant engagement and retention throughout the study ix. Conduct participant assessments and administer study outcome measures according to protocol x. Support the implementation of home-based exercise interventions xi. Provide training, briefings, and ongoing support to support workers to enable the safe and consistent delivery of interventions xii. Monitor participant progress and support exercise progression or modification within study guidelines and delegated scope xiii. Liaise with support workers to monitor intervention delivery and adherence xiv. Monitor and report adverse events or safety concerns in accordance with ethics requirements xv. Collect, enter, and manage quantitative and qualitative study data xvi. Ensure accurate, timely, and secure data management in compliance with institutional and ethics requirements xvii. Support database maintenance, data cleaning, and quality checks xviii. Support basic data analysis where required xix. Assist with ethics documentation, study reporting, and audit preparation Job Requirements Have relevant expertise in the rehabilitation of older adults Have a degree/diploma in Physiotherapy  AHPC Registered Physiotherapist Minimum of one year working experience Strong organisational and project coordination skills Key Competencies Able to conduct physiotherapy assessment and exercise prescription for older adults Able to build and maintain strong working relationships with people within and external to the university Proficient in technical writing and presentation Possess strong analytical and critical thinking skills Show strong initiative and take ownership of work Competent in data entry, management, and basic research database use Able to troubleshoot and problem solve within study and clinical guidelines
