Institute of Health and Wellbeing - Ballarat or Berwick Campus Full-time, continuing appointment Academic Level C - $142,267 p.a. plus up to 17% superannuation About the role As an integral member of our team, you will contribute to the development and delivery of units within psychology at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. You will also supervise students undertaking psychology placement within FedCare Psychology Services and contribute to the Institutes administrative functions. You will: provide leadership in developing, teaching, coordinating, and moderating units in psychology; undertake teaching and assessment of undergraduate and postgraduate students; supervise students undertaking project units, honours courses and research higher degrees; and supervise students undertaking psychology placements within FedCare Psychology Services. About you You will work as part of the institutes team of academic and administrative staff. You will possess proven educational, research and professional experience and seek to embed long and short-term research strategies for the institute within the strategic framework of the University and in accordance with its mission. You will be a creative thinker and avid problem solver, who possesses initiative, innovation, and a can-do attitude. You will possess: general registration as a psychologist, clinical endorsement, and Board Approved supervisor status with AHPRA; demonstrated commitment to and enthusiasm for teaching and learning; demonstrated course, program or unit coordination experience, or equivalent high level organisational skills; and capacity to support students completing placement. Your personal sphere of influence: The Ries lab is developing super-resolution microscopy methods for structural cell biology and is looking for a PhD student to join the team. The Max Perutz Labs is a joint research institute of the University of Vienna and the Medical University of Vienna. It was founded in 2005 to deepen the collaboration between the two universities in the field of molecular biosciences. Approximately 450 scientists from over 40 nations work in 40 research groups at the institute, investigating fundamental questions in molecular and cell biology. State-of-the-art research infrastructure supports their work in basic biomedical research. The employment duration is 3 years. lnitially limited to 1.5 years, the employment relationship is automatically extended to 3 years if the employer does not terminate it within the first 12 months by submitting a declaration of non-extension.
